  6. Hey guys, For a few weeks now I've noticed my shoutbox is brokened It goes right across the screen but there isn't a box to type in :S I've read through the previous comments but it sounds like the others have had a different problem, in that you have a box to type in but your text doesn't show up...where as I just don't have anywhere to type. Is it a hint that you don't care what I have to say? Haha. Gonna be away for work for the next 2 days so will have a look at responses when I get back on Sat Bx

    AWOL

Hey guys, Just wanted to explain why I haven't been around for the last few weeks. For starters I woke up one morning at 3am, completely wet through. For a couple of minutes I panicked, thinking I had wet myself in the middle of the night. I was quite relieved, but also pissed off to find that we had a leak in the roof and it had dripped right through the ceiling and onto my bed (just my side of the bed though...the husband was fine!!!) So we've had the whole roof replaced. I've also been doing some voluntary work with some children from Belarus for the past 2 weeks so have been out early in the morning and back late at night, and when I got home was too tired to do anything. On top of all this we have been looking after my brother-in-law's dog....which insisted on pissing and crapping all over the house, despite being allowed into the garden every hour. Anyway all of that is finished so... I'M BACK!!! I can finally enjoy my new pc
  9. Well...the wait is over! After waiting for what seemed like a lifetime my pc finally came this morning I'm now installing everything so will hopefully be back on the servers later. I will also be able to play bf3 again so will prob be hassling you all on the bf3 servers too Apologies for not being around for the past week. Had a lot on and been preparing my laptop for sale so havent been able to play. Hope you are all well anyway
  10. Wow I also didn't have a clue about this Bob. So glad they found the scum. Hope all goes well and Jessica is able to move on with her life.
  11. Well, after having to wait for the cheque to clear the PC is now ordered and should arrive in about a week
  12. Glad to hear he is getting better and is home. There are so many infections going around in hospitals home is probably best for him. Also it can be depressing sitting in hospital so at least he can relax at home where he feels comfortable. Keep your chin up anyway, surely they wouldn't send him home if he was in any danger
  13. Well my husband has put one together for me on some website that builds them for you. I think we could probably buy it all separately and put it together ourselves but we have a group of his friends coming to our house for a mini-lan in August. So would rather pay a bit extra to have it put together for me and have it working, than put it together ourselves and risk hitting some problems and not having it ready in time. So as far as knowing what's in the pc....I don't but my husband does haha. He's shopped around for the best deal, I've just got to wait for the cheque to clear so I can pay for it
  14. Looking good! Who listens to their wives anyway!? Saying that I've told my husband he's not allowed one haha
  15. I know most of the time people moan about the tax man stealing all their monies, however, a couple of weeks ago I received a lovely letter. It was from Revenue and Customs telling me I had paid too much tax and was due a refund, so a cheque would follow. The next day I received a cheque for.....drum roll please...£595.20!!! Now when I have told my family about this I received responses such as, "Oh well that's good timing," and, "That will come in handy." You see I have just had an operation and have been on sick leave for about 4 weeks, and as my work don't offer sick pay I have been on 'statutory sick pay', which basically means I only get paid £87 a week. Also, 2 days after my operation my husband was let go from his job, as he was employed through an agency and was no longer required. So, basically this month we are due some anal probing from our bills, which means that it is really good timing to receive the cheque. My response....screw the bills, I need a new PC! Over the past year I have saved up a couple of times to buy a new pc but always ended up having to use it to pay for bits and bobs around the home. At the moment I am playing on a gaming laptop, which I bought before I got married as I having to choose between going to my boyfriend's to see him, or staying at home to play, so a laptop seemed a good solution. Now the laptop started off fantastic as it could run BF3, but as the months have gone by it has gotten slower and slower (probably with all the sims3 expansions I have and the fact that I haven't reformatted in...forever). It still plays things ok but can get laggy at times. Now I know a lot of people out there would say it would be best to use the money to pay bills and then save for a new pc, but I know for a fact it won't take us too long to get our accounts back in order but then take an eternity to save up for a pc. Plus, once I have my pc I can sell my laptop, which I would imagine I could get at least £200 for, which would be a bit of a help towards our bills. Anyway, I put my cheque into the bank today and will be ordering my pc as soon as it clears, so will hopefully be up and running on my new sexy beast within the next 2 weeks. Now most of you have probably got bored and haven't got this far, but hey-ho. I'm just so excited about FINALLY getting a new pc and...well...I've got to get my 20 posts in somehow Feel free to give me some lovely comments to respond to Bexx
  16. Thanks for the welcome guys ^^ Ok I'm actually scared now. Are you serious that he can do that? Mute has worked so far but now I'm worried that he's gonna see this and next time I ignore him he's gonna turn on the hax. That being said, I find it hard to believe that he would have a megaphone hack, and not get any hax that would make him better at the game, which he clearly needs more!
  17. Hey guys My name is Bexx, or Becci to those of you who like to spend time in the 'real world'. I often get mistaken on comms for being a prepubescent boy with my high-pitched voice, but I'm actually a 27-year-old female from Liverpool in the UK. I've been gaming for around 8 years after, like with most girl gamers, I sat watching my boyfriend (now husband) playing and became intrigued. I started on bf2 and played with my boyfriend's clan. We then moved on to cod4 when it came out and played in a couple of other small clans, playing the odd match. I was then picked up by a cod4 team called Infused and played in an all-female line up under a part-time contract. We played in matches each night and attended a UK LAN called I-series a couple of times a year. After a little over a year a couple of the other members were no longer available to play. As we were unable to find replacements who could fully commit, who were good enough and who weren't attention-seeking psychos, the team disbanded. After that I joined a bf:bc2 clan, and we then moved on to bf3. I had to stop playing with the clan as I play on a laptop and, due to my sims3 expansions and large amount of crap I have on it, doesn't run bf3 well anymore. After recently meeting up with one of my past cod4 team mates I decided to reinstall cod4 and discovered the XI freezetag servers and can now say I am well and truly addicted. It's not just the mod that I enjoy, but also the community and banter in game, which I find gaming dull without. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and having a good ol' laugh, but most of all looking forward to the challenge of seeing how long I can go before muting Wildthing I hope you guys consider me for the clan, not only because I'd love to be back in a team, but because I'm fed up of being redirected!!! Haha. Anyways, that's me. Bexx
