Spawn Protection?
PimpedOutPete replied to MrCrowe's topic in Call of Duty 2's Call Of Duty 2 Discussion
How often does that happen Steve? Not nearly enough!..lol... Seriously though, we can go an entire evening without a shootie. Its all dependent on whom is voting and if you have players that dont care for them, they never get voted on. Do we hear complaints then (minus myself lol). One thing about last nite, as much as that was mayhem, people were having fun and laughing their asses off, while shooting someone elses... I think people afterwards because they were so friggin tired of running and gunning... -
Spawn Protection?

I agree with Artie. Spawn protection may work on larger maps but shooties, pistols, and small maps will become a complete mess. By all accounts, it seems that the majority of players and admins are happy with the servers. People are enjoying themselves. and complaints are in the minority. Glove did bring up a good point and does warrant our attention. It seems to me that some maps are still an issue. A select few have very few spawn points which make them a mess altogether. I suggest we consider removing the few that are still and issue and replace them with quality maps. I personally believe that small changes are needed rather than large ones. I also agree Loader, a meeting maybe of use to us since its been along time. I will also make a forum to members and admins to suggest maps to be included on the server. -

On the map issue, lets consider making some minor adjustments. Delete a few maps that are rarely played and add a few new ones. Lets us come up with a few to consider. -

There is no reason to be passive aggressive Glove. This is an open dialog to a reasonable request that you started. With that said, you have to except that some will not agree with you. It's fine to be frustrated, but we need to respect each others opinion, and yours is just as valuable as the next. Now in respect to camping. Like I said, I'm very reluctant to monitor game style behaviors. At some point all players will camp and specially when certain maps dictates it. Some players never camp while some always do. Some players on our servers have real physical challenges that prevents them from running and gunning. It would be a true injustice if anyone asked them to stop playing the style they are use to. Now as far as I'm concerned, this is not a closed. In real life, we would all sit down and hash this out. But when you have to discuss these things on an open forum, it may takes a lot longer for members and admins to add there opinions. Please give the process time. -

That's funny Steve. Joe and myself just had a conversation on that subject. Our severs are hosts to a variety of players. Everyone is welcome play regardless. -

Spawn Protection?
PimpedOutPete replied to MrCrowe's topic in Call of Duty 2's Call Of Duty 2 Discussion
Let me clairify this so there is no misunderstanding. The "knee-jerk" reaction would be making complete changes without consulting admins or members. Whatever choices made, if any, will hopefully be a group effort. If people choose not to comment, thats there right as well. -

This seems very much a knee-jerk reaction to a situation. I personally believe there should be some type of discussion about this before any changes are made. I recall several months back, a very few unhappy members voicing their displeasure which lead to wholesale changes. There was little discussion between membership or admins at the time. As for the topic....There is spawn protection, in respect to allowing someone to take several steps, I cant recall the specifc amount though. As for camping. This issue has been apart of the game from day one. Regretfully its a point of contention within all our servers, COD2,4, WAW. Personally its part of the game. If someone choses to camp then so be it. As far as Im concerned, game styles are not something we need to monitor. If so, we are entering a slippery slop that ends with us being hall monitors. Regardless, I always end up at the same spot. Is this a concern for the majority of our members and admins? Are we happy with our servers as they are? Will any changes made push members away. I could ask if it would improve membership but the reality is, we are playing a game with limited players. I personally believe that we are as good as we can be. If spawn raping is an issue, then please take that up with admins, we are all very accessable and are willing to listen and if so, correct any situation. -
Well done! I forever will be in your shadow my friend.. You are a whore extraordinaire!!! Kudos!

Why must we quote Hitler at every turn... or should I say misquote Hilter.. This is from a previous post on the subject.. "The Hilter's quote.. “To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens.” is actually a misquote. It has never been proven that he said such a quote, though its common knowledge that he did believe in disarming the "host nation". Historians have come to the conclusion that Hilter was refering the The 1938 German Weapons Act. The use of the word “conquer” surely didn’t refer to his own people, but of a population he wished to vanquish, and to remove their rights to bear arms. In fact, the 1938 German Weapons Act actually lowered the age upon which German citizens could own firearms, but essentially stripped Jews of any rights to own firearms. Historians have always said that was his prime objective, to disarm jews not his citizens. Big Gov. types always weasle out when they are caught with their agenda and make excuses... That quotation was from "Mein Kampf". In the end, the Germans were disarmed & so feared the Gestapo they hide much more than their guns. Do you deny that all Totalitarian Govs do not try to disarm their people.? What's next Pete, are you gonna dispute the Holocost like Iran & The Muslim Brotherhood does? Cause I'm sure the Video evedence intentionally captured in 1945 by Ike is not enough right? Why would u ask that? Do i dispute the holocaust... What's the motive behind that comment? A world at war is a terrible thing but the true atrocities was against the Jewish population in Europe. That was Hitlers hidden agenda and that's what my comments were directed towards. What does this have to do with a kid and his t shirt anyway! Good grief! As for your comment on "bailing our asses out".. Maybe you should have a chat with my gran parents. My one granfather served his country in the war and in Korea as well. My other lies in a quiet military cemetery in France. I understand the passion that surrounds these conversations but there is no need to disrespect ones country or heritage. It's best you direct that to me personally.

Little OldMan made an attempt at American Idol this year. Regretfuly he didnt make it. Here is his audition.. lol

I could not disagree with you more Sparty, other countries have very firm gun control and they are just as free or even more than America.. I have no use for the NRA period, but whats more important is everyones right to freedom of speach including the NRA's. That school should be ashamed of themselves. Your High... With us gone, no one left to bail your asses out next time... I wont dignify a full response to this, if your point was to disrespect and insult.... Well done.
