The plot was inspired in part by the true story of Fritz Niland, one of four brothers from New York state who saw action during the war. Two Niland brothers were killed on D-Day, while another was missing in action in Burma and was presumed dead, although he actually survived. Fritz was located in Normandy by an Army chaplain, Reverend Francis Sampson, and taken out of the combat zone. The actual journey of saving private ryan in the movie is %100 fiction.. as well the landing in the movie is on Omaha Beach and not Daytona Beach.. But it was still a good movie.. i know! omaha! but: you know metafora? i dont like war but i play so: if you wach band of brothers-there you can see real WW2[COD maps] then stop playng cod:) PEACE
