  1. Bah that one delivery was only obtained because I fortified the crap out of the objective with 3 claymores and murdered everyone else, they were really the only kills I got the entire round, the rest was me dying to Draco's glitchy ass Ucavs

Goodnight (No sleep allowed) Shenanigans (no goofing off) Nightmare (scary) Jewelfish (Apparently likes fish sticks) Unignorable (too much attention required) Bejeweled (awesome game) Nightclubs (cant play bf4 there) Knight (this isn't a renaissance fair!) Benign tumor (Only cancerous tumors are allowed) Enigmatic people (annoying) Twinight (too close to twilight) Nigh (too near) Snigger (no half laughs allowed, either laugh it up or no laugh at all!) Seriously though can we add these words to some sort of "allowed" list?
  5. so mouse, sliderulz, flush, phud, and I are all willing to donate to get this new server up and running for a 1 month trial. Lets do it already, I feel guilty playing in =U= Rock and CMW to satisfy my classic itch.
  6. C/P: Today we will be preparing for the second pass at performance testing for Final Stand. This first 5+ days run has given us a lot of good telemetry information and baseline test data. We will now prepare to update the server and client with some really good looking performance improvements, new netcode and fixes to soldier collision (which we need significant testing on to feel comfortable releasing as part of Final Stand). This update is planned to happen tomorrow, but might get pushed pending how well the build behaves. In the interrim we will be shutting down a bulk of our servers, to focus play on the specific test servers where we collect the data. We will also run another game mode on the servers today (CTF) to mix things up a bit. If thats the case, we really need to get the classic server up and running today if we plan on going through with it.
  7. Id say the preference is the 24/7 server plus not pissing off the 5 or so members that play there during that time. On the issue of that servers population, I think turning it into a locker/metro HC server from 1pm-1am would definitely help.

  9. While I like the idea of an increase in players out of the gate coinciding with final stand, I don't see a reason to wait when we know final stand will release within the month. Its best to start as early as possible and try and get the server on the map as soon as possible so that it can take full advantage of the fair weather players of final stand. We want it to be one of the first servers full during final stand, not an overflow server because the other servers are already full.
  10. Thats understandable odd but is usually more of a problem when you have two servers that are extremely similar to the other. Classic has its own fan base and while the first month may take away from the soft core and HC server, I believe they are established enough to remain healthy. Also I was taking a look at =U= Rock which as we know has a ton of servers. I was surprised to see that the only servers they have active or starting up at 9 am were the locker server and the two classic servers.

  12. It sounds to me like you were playing on a hardcore server which usually means you die instantly when shot and it kinda rewards camping and snipers. Did you try our normal server, I am a run and gunner myself and normal definitely sounds like it will help you with your concerns. normal mode has 3d spotting which allows you see to people at much farther distances, it also has a kill cam so that when you die to someone, you know who and where he was. You also can take more bullets which gives you a lil more time to pinpoint who is shooting you or to get into cover.

  14. Nice cherry picking of empty servers just to make some sort of point, you even added a few duplicates in there to make the list longer. Lets go with some actual stats though shall we? Its definitely a lot easier for me instead of listing the 600 or so empty hardcore servers. According to bf4stats 12.49 percent of all HC (keyword search HC, Hardcore, and classic during prime time) servers are active with 4 or more players while 13.49% of all classic servers are active with 4 or more people. What does this tell us exactly? Its hard to say because of the difference in the amount of servers with HC having over 800 servers to roughly 300 classic but as of right now classic is slightly more active on a per server basis and would fill a completely different niche then what we currently have. Of course switching the true HC server to classic is only one of the possibilities, there are many others including a new server just for a month to see how it does (is this possible? I do not know what the XI funds are like) or even what duck suggested, which is switching the true HC server to classic at around 9-10pm GMT (where its least active) to see if classic can keep it active. I do believe it would be silly not to explore the classic niche just because a few people are against it. Here is what the true HC server looks like now in terms of activity.
  15. Well look at HC, most server have to put a sniper limit because one set of weapons is completely overpowered compared to the others.

Sure in softcore I see the assault being less and less useful but in hardcore and classic you don't auto regen health, so people will be running to you left and right to get some health otherwise they wont last long. Also maybe your reading the notes wrong? the way it sounds to me, it will still heal you when suppressed but you will actually have to be touching the bag instead of within a certain radius of it. if that's the case I don't see it as such a big deal, only time will tell though.
  19. Yea I also really enjoy the classic mode and believe it could really fill a different niche to bring in even more people. There are not many classic servers out because its so new but the ones Ive noticed like Urock seem to be full at all times, they were even full at 9AM this morning which surprised me. the three popular ones are Rush, Dom, and Conquest. So if you guys are going to do this I would propose a mixed map mode like our HC and Softcore servers. Should def try it for a few weeks and see if there is a interest in it. Though it seems this is gonna bring another EU hardcore vs US hardcore war on. The reason the US server was made according to you guys was the removal of the minimap, but now the EU server is the exact same game play. I don't think Ive ever seen such an odd power struggle within a clan to the point where members are threatening their tags just because they might get a higher ping and a slightly different max number of players. The admins make decisions on what they think is best for the clan, there is nothing wrong with being against it but giving them an ultimatum just because you don't like it is just childish. On a side note, how much would a new server cost?

  21. Thats just latency bro, every online game has it. Its pretty much impossible to fix, and you can only minimize it as best you can. the cause is limited updates per second, as well as the hit detection being on the clients end, rather then the server. What you see isn't exactly what the enemy sees in terms of position. bf4 is actually better than most in that regard.
  22. ohhh I thought you were talking about the lag issue of getting shot right after you hide behind cover, your saying your getting shot just sitting behind cover and not looking out? If so Ive never had that problem, just wondering do you play with kill cams on?
  23. Well thats good that your not surprised because I don't know of a single online multi-player game that doesn't have this problem. So why bring it up?
