The dump file from the error would help a lot too. sometimes it will tell you exactly what driver (if its a driver) causing the crash.. and if it says its that driver and you try downgrading or upgrading the driver and it still crashes might be faulty hardware.

Have you tried resetting your BIOS to factory defaults? it it blue screening when it gives you this error? what OS are you running? have you tried memtest and chkdsk to verify that is it not bad memory or a bad hard drive? Also do you have a PSU tester? Random shutdowns can be caused by spikes in the voltage. Basically it could be a ton of stuff.. start with the easy stuff first. make sure you don't have any old drivers installed, try rolling back your windows updates to before you were having this issue, make sure all drivers are up to date. run memtest, and chkdsk, reset your bios to defaults, and try to test your psu. Also if you can upload the crash dump file. sometimes it will have more specific information than just the event ID info.

I know what you mean.. the hit recognition on BF4 sucks ass compared to BF3. yea there is a little bit more going on, but come on. its built off the same platform and the same developeres are working on it. they should know how to fix that shit this far into the series. I won't buy it at release date. I'll wait till it goes on sale like I did with BF4, and BF3, and BF2 before that. with how fast games drop in price now I don't see the point of buying anything at full price anymore.

Ah the good old days. I remember epic battles of C&C.. my strategy was APC's full of grenadiers unload them all and attack the base, and then sneak my single APC full of engineers round back and take over the buildings that my grenadiers didnt destroy. lol I used to play DOOR games back in the late 80s early 90s on bbs's too. Trade Wars 2002 was my favorite. In that game you could form "Corporations" with other players.. and you have alignments and if you were super evil you could not go into federation space or you would be attacked on site. me and my bro had the most evil corporation, and learned if you blocked certain sectors on your navigation sometimes you could find "backdoors" to deadend sectors that are only supposed to have one entrance. people would fill the sector outside their home planets sector with mines and space depris as a defense from getting attacked I'm not sure if the "Backdoor" thing was a glitch, but me and my bro caused so much grief doing that and destroying the other players home planets. one time we took out the SysOp's moms home sector and 3 planets, and her whole fleet of 5 ships... Quake 3 rules. never bad mouth quake 3. ever... EVER.. I actually played quake live for awhile, and got pretty good at it. I won't pay full price for a game. I never pay full price for a game. I only payed 27.05 for the BF4 Digital Deluxe Edition. still paid 49.99 for premium, but hell.. 77 compared to 110. and I am actually really really enjoying the game. I know it has its bugs, but I have not had this much fun in a game in years. see and i got it like a month after launch.

I've gotten bf3 for free 3 times now. lol. well once in a humble bundle, for the ps3 using ps plus, and now oriign.

Weird I have a 7870 and I get higher peak frame with mantle, but bigger dips and frame staggering. I got a AMD FX 6300 I think 6 core running at 4.26 ghz

other news i found: the footage from the leaked trailer is 6 months old... i actually like that visceral is developing the single player. I have enjoyed their single player campaigns much more than anything DICE has done.
