the arma version is where i started , the standalone was designed to stop all the multiple installs and it did but it was pushed out to soon. With standalone which is the steam version you can essentially buy and install Dayz and be pure vanilla up and running quick but it was to vanilla for my taste. When walk in a building i want to see loot. I found a server called 1pp full send im am really liking this sever mod set up. It has alot of mods on it and it took a hour on my bad internet but if i was going to build a server this is what i would want it to look like. You start with gear, money and food and there are loads of content. Full send appears to be a public mod designed around full load outs so i'll keep testing some servers and see what we find.

@Barron Do you have any preferences on hosting. I've used G-portal alot for throw up games but all of my old hosting companies are sold to bigger players. Its alot better if you have multiple admins and you sound like your up for a new challenge. Any Cpanels your fond of

yeah there are alot of servers up, the hard part right now is the game version is newer than most servers and battle eye is the program used to search servers. You dont really see the version until you try to connect and fail. Its still as dayz goes pretty sandbox in that regard. I found a lite modded server im toying with

on steam its just dayz , they have a lot of addon content like livonia which is another map. All the DLC cost extra. I ran a server in what was once called dayz standalone "dayz" now and about the time i would get all the mods updated and bugs worked out they would push another update and break it all again. So that still makes me hesitant but if we get enough interest id be willing.

I used to mod Dayz for several clans in Epoch, adding perm Structures for the hosting clan and building server packs. Standalone was pretty disappointing but since i started gaming again recently i went back and looked at the mod tools for standalone and how they have progressed. Appreciate the welcomes , I have been around XI for along time. Alot of comments i get like finally or i thought you were XI warrants alittle info as to why now. So i'll keep it super short but i helped build one of the oldest clans on the net but cod4 never grabbed them and i had 3 servers up running with the new OW mod and i was asked to join another clan and help mod there's as well. I ran across XI in the OW forums - prolly sammy but its been to many years now to remember who advertised it in the share your server thread and i joined to check it out. I played as SALTY for a very long time so no one from the other cod4 servers that strayed by knew who i was. It was nice to just play and not be dragged into this bug or that map issue or rotation bugs, right admins ? lol, Eventually i shut down my servers and the other clans fell apart so i returned to my original name Intruder that came from how i started playing on the net in the late 90's in combat flight sims. but to the point all the modding and clan building took a enormous toll in time and probably cost me my marriage which tbh is why i was gaming n the first place to get away from that mess, but anyway there was a point in my life i walked away from everything and turned off the PC and only randomly popped on just to play Freeze Tag. But i got to know alot of you, some very well over the years and it just dawned on me one day i had already joined whether i wore tags or not so i just messaged Rugger and said lets do it. I bought a small farm and got out side more and when i do play its usually just mornings in the weekends since i travel a fair amount for work but thats alittle about me and why now if anyone wondered.

Random spawns are easier to fix than map noise you run the risk of corrupting the map file by trying to remove the fx , it was called cleaning the map iwd files - google it you will need winrar to bust down the map files. You just need a sucker to volunteer the countless hours of redundancy to learn using the visual mover built into the mod to fix spawns

Depends on how many plugins you install with b3 , keeping it simple is a good thing but i never found it to affect any of my servers. I kept the active plugins low for that reason, and yeah NFO meh , but yeah you would need access to the sql database to properly install, sounds like you have a good handle on things jester. Sammy is the load based map configuration still intact ,

Install b3 it has a add on to vote on maps - like or dislike simple admin program wrote in python and easy to manage pretty sure you guys have it that’s where the FU commands came from. The open banter add on

Ski started the TCC league for clan s/d and it ran several seasons , I don't think anyone started any leagues using the Ftag part of openwarefare to bad it was discontinued. I have a empty test server running with mitsi bo2 mod W/Redirect, i was testing, I'd donate for that purpose if you wanted Sammy , what would be even better would be a singles ladder league I could probably set up a ruleset.gsc and make it easy for anyone pre determined by guid to start there own match usIng the acp panel

Ive fixed a couple peoples PB install that were getting kicked. I just drug my PB folder off on to there desk top via team viewer. Deleted there PB folder and replaced it with mine and then ran the pb.exe inside the folder to test the service.. fixed !!

So i took most of the year off away from the PC , recently started playing again since its cold out side. After a few weekends playing on the freeze tag server the game would crash when i clicked "JOIN GAME" to load the server list. I joined under a different profile no problem so the MPDATA file for my main profile was corrupt in some way i thought. I went through it and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary except two things, the console was turned off and game join type was odd. Anyways if you encounter a game crash when hitting join now start your game open the console and type /ui_joingame Type 1 ( for some reason mine had changed to 17) click "JOIN NOW" >server list should load. walla - fixed not sure the root cause but if it happens again i'll dig and find it.
