  1. The moon is what keeps the earth from tilting too much. Thats why we have stable seasons. Perhaps one day the Moon will be gone (due to tides pull back effect) and Earths axis will tilt up to 90° or the Moon stays in orbit and will stop the Earth from rotating - both szenarios will make live impossilbe. I just can't remember if thats before the sun goes red giant or after Anyway. As I understood the interpretation of Pluto's surface fotos, because there are mountains folded up there must be some sort of plate tectonic going on. As mentioned before it's a sound assumption that the gravitational pull of Pluto's moon causes friction and is combined with the heat procuced by radioactive decay of heavy elements heating up the "planet" inside. Same happens for example with the Saturn moon Enceladus where the pull is heating the moon so much that the moon is full of geysirs shooting boiling hot water into space.
  2. I don't think thats it. He said he can access the content locally but can't connect to the internet when he's using the computer with this harddrive and it's windows installation on it. @BigPapaDean So I think there is simply the LAN driver missing or not working properly. Go to device manager, check if there are any shout marks next to the devices. If not: Check in the control panel under Network and Internet / Network Connections if there are any ethernet adapters listed at all. If so, right click on it, go to properties, double click IPv4 and check if it's set to DHCP (get Ip address automatically). Assuming you connect your computer to a router with DHCP enabled. If no adapters are listed, get LAN drivers for your LAN adapter (mostly onboard of the mobo) and install them after you uninstalled the old ones completely from the device manager.
  3. I just reported the guy on Battlelog and added the video link to the report. I suggest you do the same. Unbelievable that he still has an account.

  5. I would like to help but I'm a bit confused by the question. When you say, you can't connect with your hardrive to the internet, do you mean you installed windows on this harddrive and now you can't connect with your computer to the internet? What exactly do you mean by connecting harddrives to the internet? Do you mean you have set up a file server with shares on your harddrives which you can access from the internet - but not the shares on this particular harddrive?
  6. Yeah AdBlockPlus is highly recommended. Works best with FireFox imo. Really good for YouTube - no commercials! (Bad for free content on the internet though, service providers can't provide their services for free without showing you ads.) Exactly. I don't use AV live scan. Cos I hate how it slows down things often. I only check suspicious files manually. But the online check you suggested might even be better than having an AV program on the computer.
  7. I deal with infected PC's almost on a daily basis. I can tell you that any anti virus software is pretty much useless. 99% of all infected computers do in fact run an up to date anti virus program ... Many even detect 99.99% of all viruses, but not all and most of all not the viruses which are currently around. If you want to feel saver than with no anti virus, then I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials or just the built in Defender in Windows 8 or higher. Those are free. If you want to spend some money, get nod32. Takes very little recources, other than that, not better than the others. Norton and McAfee are the worst. CCleaner is good, but no anti virus software afaik. Best security is to be careful.
  8. Hi Xtreme Idiots, just wanna say hello and indroduce myself a bit. This is M0stlyHarmless on BF4 or Mossticles on Steam (short Moss). I play on your BF4 server for quite some time now ... ever since my old clan ditched their BF4 server (www.cq247.co.uk). I'm still a senior admin there but nothing ever happens there anymore. So, I'm glad I found you guys. I'm from north east Germany, 43 years old, married and I have 3 daughters (13, 20, 22). You might have seen my youngest daughter on the server, she goes by 4nastasi4. I earn my money with my own small IT business. All from repairing computers to providing hot spots and internet access in rural areas. See you on the battlefield. Moss out.
