I stopped playing today. No use and no fun against 5 Zonks in the other team. Tried to reason with them and said they could split up themselfes, but they told me to fuck off. They really should be split up automatically again. It only "hurts" the Zonks, and everybody else on our server benefits,

Exactly. I don't mind Zonks being on the server. But if the teams getting unbalanced because some clan (Zonk or others) is piling up on one side, then there need to be some balancing - meaning splitting them up, as Jay has stated in the beginning of this thread a long time ago. We want to provide a great gaming experience for everyone. One part of archieving this is to keep the teams balanced. It may hurt a few, but it benefits everyone else. This thread is going in circles anyway. The Zonks are aware of our concerns and they know that they might get balanced - as every other clan would btw. In my opinion it has been dealt with this issure accordingly by the server admins and there shouldn't be anything left to discuss.

Why would we need more maps? For example look at people who play football all their life .... it's always the same map But so be semi serious, more maps would be nice - but playing what we have is sometimes fun and sometimes it's not. It all depends on how well you play with your squad / team etc. or if you just casual jump in and lose 5 rounds in a row.

I don't get the reason to remove serverbrowsers and serverhosters. In BF4 it already startet that they have take away the rights to host BF4 servers from many hosters. What does EA care? They can have it both ways. They can have their matchmaking shit and their own servers for that and they can let people rent servers and have a server browser. They would not lose a thing ($). Now all they get is a shitstorm again and less potential buyers. After BF4 I swore not ever to pre order an EA game again and thats why I don't have Hardline. I certainly wont buy Battelfront until they come around and have a working system - so that at least ppl can join their favorite servers with their "friends".

Another reason not to throw money at EA again.

Imo splitting them up is efficient enough. As seen yesterday. There is nothing wrong with playing tactical or being good. But the question is, does it piss off too many other players so that they stay away from our server. Most of the time we have a big queue and it's not so obvious wheather players bail out when Zonk is on or not. Perhaps it could be statistically investigated. However, if a bunch of so called "pro players" is piling up in one team, that leaves no chance for the other team. Thus, as Jay already stated, splitting them up is the way to go - and it works. As someone said analogously on TS yesterday "We play against eachother most of the time, zonk can do that too." I don't think it would be a big deal for them or anything to be upset about when zonk has to play vs. zonk more often. But if they don't like it ... well ... there are other servers to go to, aren't there.

@@Sammy Your phone or tablet etc. are transmitting / receiving too in standby.

Run pingtests and speedtests on all devices connected to the router you are using. If you have the same problem on all devices, your router / modem / isp cause the issue. If you have established it is only one computer being affected, right click on the taskbar - task manager - click more details - then the 2nd tab from teh left and check if your CPU or RAM or HDD is busy. If so, click on Resource Monitor at the bottom and check which process is causing it.

Didn't read all posts ... but I'd try to help with filling up the server. Only I can't actively sit before my computer, but I can join the game and shut down the pc automatically after an hour or two. Are admins now able to overrule idle kick? I remember that back in my previous clan we needed to use a mouseclicker to stay on the server while being away.

I never played a Microsoft game. Didn't even know they make games (except Flight Simulator back in the 90's )

I was senior admin in my previous clan and we had about the same discussion about certain clans playing on our servers. We did also split them up - even by a script (which I don't have anymore unfortunately). Imo reasons for bans are not only cheating or being racist etc. Some single "pro" players were causing too much grief and disruption on our servers and were banned because of that (after a long painful debate). But I don't think ZONK would fit these criterias. They are not unbeatable and don't play supernatural. They just don't do anything else or have anything else ... poor guys. In the end it's up to the admins to assess wheather the damage to the server / community is greater with or without ZONK.

If you don't want to edit your hosts file yourself, you can use "Destroy Windows 10 Spying" - it does that for you and more. Hint: Set a restore point before using it. Just in case.

It's already been fixed (hacked). See my post above. Yeah Classic Shell is alright. If you are willing to pay $5, there is Start10 now (which is better than all free options imo). Of course you can still use Start8 if you have it already. Btw. I did only pay once for Start8 and could install it on 9 computers using my Stardock account to register before it was complaining

No, thats exactly what I'm NOT saying. Windows 10 is NOT better than Windows 8.1 with Start8. Start8 is a 3rd party Start Menu: http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/ I still use Start8 in Windows 10 cos without it sucks. Hope that clears things up

There are quite a few things you can do about the spying. 1st, install Windows offline with a local account. 2nd, turn off all spying option during installation 3rd, use "Destroy Windows 10 Spying" to block all remaining data transfer or manually edit the hosts file. I installed 10 only on one laptop for testing so far. For all I can say it is no improvement compared to the pretty perfect combination of Windows 8.1 with Start8. I still need to use Start8 in Win 10, cos the 10 start menu is still horrible imo. For example when I type "energy" to quickly find the energy settings, I get a Metro style energy settings page and have to click at least twice again to get to the setting I want. With start8 I never see any Metro Style pages at all and go straight to the good old Control Panel settings windows. Also finding programs is quite hard with this new start menu. I have to type more letters to find them than with start8. At some point I will upgrade all my windows pc's for sure, but only with Start8 and no personal data transfer and without ms account or synchronization of any kind.

About MS Accounts and Win 10: To answer my earlier question myself ... Apparently you can still install Win10 with a local account - good. On the page where you can login with your MS Account click "Don't have an account" and on the next page choose "local account" - or install Win10 disconnected from the internet. No MS Account needed - that means no data being sent to MS SpyDrive. If you have already installed 10 with MS account and you don't want that, you can disconnect from it in the user settings and create a local account.

Not that I've head of. I got a AMD GFX myself, but haven't installed 10 on my gaming computer yet. Next week I'll be away and lets see how the Win10 things are after that.

Afaik you can do a clean install when you upgrade 1st and after that do a clean install. On the same machine you don't need a product key - MS knows your computer already. If you want to install it on another machine you need to find out the Windows 10 key after the upgrade. For example with Windows Product Key Viewer. I haven't installed or upgraded Windows 10 yet. I don't know if there is another way to find the product key after the upgrade. To those who have installed or upgraded already, do you need to create or sign in to a MS account? It wasn't necessary to do so with 8 or 8.1. Especially not when you installed Windows offline. I would rather not have a MS account.
