As far as getting news from a legitimate source......where there lies the problem. These days I'm struggling with who and what to believe. It seems that our so called "legitimate" sources of news only tell us what they want us to know. There's lots of stuff that they cover which seems like a political agenda to me but plenty of things that they don't cover. I just want to hear the truth, good or bad.

Okay. I've done the math. Depending on where you're coming from, the cost of the trip varies. Let's say you need $1000 for the Fest. Save $35 a week from now til just before Fest time. That's doable, right? Stay away from vending machines and fast food joints. Carry your lunch and buy beer in bulk so it's cheaper. Sell that crap you've accumulated on ebay. Carpool, share a room and/or stay at a cheaper hotel. If you REALLY want to go, you can find a way. Just trying to help. P.S. If I miscounted or configured incorrectly ....I'm blonde. Leave me alone.

I agree that hardware is not really the issue. However, the scanner just makes it easier. I just need to figure out how to scan to whatever/wherever the files need to be so that they can be imported. In the past, I scanned some stuff and created an excel spreadsheet which can be imported into QB. The problem with that was QB treated it as just a journal entry and not a transaction. I want it to be a transaction. Otherwise, I will have to manually input the data from each receipt and create the transactions as I have done in the past. Right now, my boss is feeling guilty for doing this to me once AGAIN so he's willing to buy me a scanner/software.

I'm looking for some advice. I use Quickbooks Online Edition to handle the finances for the company I work for. Every January, my beloved boss brings me bags and bags of crumpled up receipts from the previous year. Some of you have seen me deal with this via video chat and it isn't pretty. I want to scan the receipts and have the data imported into Quickbooks as a transaction. Yes, I've seen the NeatDesk scanner advertised on tv and I've researched it. If it didn't have such mixed reviews, I'd buy it. Does anyone know of another method I can use to get these receipts scanned imported as a transaction? I'm looking at the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 and it looks nice but I'm not sure how to import the receipts into QuickBooks. Any help is appreciated.

If you're using Windows 7, go to Conrol Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Screen Resolution. On that screen, you can choose which monitor to make your primary one.
