I know what feelings you're getting thru , been there last years myself , emptying my parent house felt to me like erasing all their life and souvenirs and choosing what to donate and what to dump was hearthbreaking but needed to empty and clean to put house on sale...Putting my father in elderly house was not so bad for us cause it was dangerous for him to be alone.
