  1. HA, that says yahoo Japan! No wonder he can actually get ahold of some of those!
  2. Damage_inc- I CANT WAIT FOR PART 5 LOL. I'm not a member and excuse me if I am overstepping but Dean you honestly didn't think your ranting about how your style is the end all greatest style ever and every other style was crap was going to strike a few nerves? I'm a total newb, haven't played FPS games in years, and found your great servers here and have been having a blast. I haven't been on each map long enough to really find all the best spots that work for me, or really a style that works for me for that matter. And I can see every style that you mentioned from the first few games I played. If you were writing a strategy guide for someone that had never played the game, it may be helpful, but the second they read how critical you were about how people play they would stop reading. I think what these guys are saying is that if these different styles of players are pissing you off that much you may want to take a look and see how much fun are you really having? Is this affecting your life more than it should? I was watching an interview not long ago that in a nutshell said that military personnel coming back from overseas were asked what they did in their free time while overseas. Playing video games 2-3 hours a day came in second for those people that did not later have serious mental issues. First being working out 8 hours a day! The ratio of people that played over 3 hours a day the rate started climbing significantly. All the way up to about 6 hours a day where it flatlined. How they can say that playing the games actually caused that effect and not that those people that had serious mental issues would just naturally do those activities is beyond me, but you get my point. It may be affecting your life in a not so good way anymore. I play to take my mind off of work, kids screaming and the general grind of life for a while. There are days I could sit and play for 16 hours if I didn't have anything else to do, but it would not be very good for my life (mainly becasue my wife would kill me, jk of course but she wouldn't be too happy about it.) But once it either becomes a distraction or it starts to consume your life or starts to affect your life in a negative way you might want to take a break for a while. And being really upset about how someone else plays (beyond cheating of course) might be a sign.
  3. I finally got mine fixed by running registry mechanic. I had mic and headphones plugged in, reloaded game a couple times, renaming files, yada yada. Nothing worked. Finally came across someone that mentioned running that registry mechanic and I have only had it happen once since then. Ran the program again and it has been fine since.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpWMk4-UwxM&feature=related This is one of my favorites.
  5. I hated those things, and the black widows down south. Every time I crawled under my house when I lived down there, I saw them. Thankfuly I was never bitten. The water moccasins, copperheads, rattlers. So glad I moved back to Minnesota!
  6. Nevermind, I got the full version and just fixed everything. It works! LOL YES! Finally played all night without a single drop. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it stays that way. I had tried every single fix on the internet for this and finally after almost a week of searching every day for a way to fix this, that finally did it! Thanks!
  7. This must be from an older version of the registry mechanic, now it will do 15 files, but it list them differently. Can't find the one you mention.
  8. I've reinstalled the game twice, updated the sound drivers twice, renamed the file inside the miles folder about three different ways and always have a set of headphones on. I'm guessing it's because I use Vista on this machine, at least that's what I keep telling myself. Hopefully next week when I get the new computer put together it should take care of it with windows 7. The MOBO should be here Thursday, so hopefully get it all together over the weekend. Then this one will be a dedicated Linux machine. I HATE VISTA!!!
  9. But how often do you get it? It started about a week ago for me, about the time I started playing in here quite a bit. But it was usually whenever it started loading the map, it would just quit. Today it started doing it mid game, over and over again. I was playing with 3 others, all frozen, trying to get to them and all of a sudden it crashes. Now that sucks, and very annoying since that was already the 4th crash during that one game. I've tried everything I could find to fix it and it just keeps getting worse.
  10. NickTheGrip I had the same issue and it was a loose connection in my mouse. In the end I had to throw it away and buy a replacement When it would disconnect then reconnect my motion would be really slow. I would have to go in the options and increase my mouse sensitivity. Then it would do the same thing and go back to the original setting meaning I now had a super sensitive mouse making gaming impossible My 2 cents Damn you and your avatar! I can't read a single one of your posts without being distracted at least five times. It doesn't matter if it was one word I have to watch it over and over! LOL My wife walks by wondering what I am doing and here are these boobies bouncing on my screen! LOL
  11. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121018&cm_re=mic-_-36-121-018-_-Product This is the one I was looking at, I guess I might just order it and if it doesn't work out it is only $10. I was looking at headsets a while ago, but reading reviews it seemed like so many of them broke after a very short period. Which is why I like the headphones I have now, they have been abused, thrown around and still don't even have a scratch on them. My daughter even tore off the cushions and threw them around and I just put the cushions back on and they still work great. I am leary of buying a $50+ set and then have it be junk.
  12. I need to get a Mic for teamspeak. I already have a nice set of Labtec Elite 835 headphones, which are comfy, sturdy and I I already have them, so I don't want to buy a whole headset. Any good mics, that I can either clip on or set on the desk while playiing that are clear? Thanks

  14. Sonovabich Welcome to the forum Thanks, your avatar is awesome! that just made me giggle.
  15. deerejon Welcome to the servers....which COD you play?? Thanks, COD4
  16. Check for leaks, even being a little low can cause 3rd to start slipping, uses the same clutches as reverse, but reverse uses a higher line pressure than in third. After 71 they changed the seals to teflon, which become brittle after a while because of heat cycling. Just make sure it is to the top of your full mark, not in the middle, sometimes with older vehicles, especially diesels can wear out the transmission mount causing the tail of the trans to sit a little lower than it is supposed to, causing the fluid to all move to the back of the pan. While the dipstick and filter/pickup, is toward the front of the pan. So anyway, just make sure it is full, it may not being getting enough fluid if it is not.
  17. I'll help out as well if anyone needs it. Best to e-mail me though, I may not have a lot of time to get on the forums. I'm more of a high performance type if you will, worked on everything from dirt bikes, drag cars, to monster trucks. If you want to go fast, or slow, just let me know.
  18. If you don't plan on towing anything, or really hauling anything, I would go with the chevy. For a work truck I would go with the Ford. But drive them both a few times and see which one you like more.
  19. Just make sure that you have had the battery unplugged for a while, find the airbag control module and disconnect from there first, with your head nowhere near the airbag!
  20. Just found you guys last night, the freezetag server was a blast. I will be around there a whole lot more, probably check out the other servers later as well. But I have a 3 year old and a 3 month old so gaming time is very precious right now. Pretty much whenever momma will take both kids all night so I can play. I really liked the attitude of everyone a lot better than some of the other servers I've been to. I have been playing some of the Tactical Realism servers and some of those guys are way too serious. I'm all about team work (I should be after 10 years in the Military) but my god it's a game, chill out and have some fun. Which reminds me I need to order a mic. I'm still a noob as I'm sure everyone could tell last night, but I will get the hang of it sooner or later. But that's alright with me, it's still fun as long as everyone has a good attitude, which was the case last night, so I thank you all for that. Yes I make a good target, but I'm cool with that, I'll get ya sooner or later!
