I've got a 64G Crucial REALSSD and it's freaking amazing. I use Bench 32 for testing drives. mine probably takes about 6 seconds to load from the MOBO screen, but I am also running a stripped down version of WIN7 and running at 4.5Ghz and hooked up to 6gig SATA. I have yet to see the full windows flag during startup. If you want a fast "storage" drive. I have a WD Caviar Black FAEX and it is super fast for a platter drive.

Yeah I was talking I have probably $2k in just my tower. But it is really overkill. For that price I could have added all the extra goodies that mine has and still not had to put it together. Here is a list, Cooler Master HAFx Corsair 750w PSU Gigabyte P67-UD5-B3 motherboard i5-2500k 8G of G-skill RipjawsX 7-7-7-21 RAM Cogage Arrow CPU cooler EVGA GTX 470 superclocked x2 in SLI 2TB caviar black (people should really check these things out, they are super fast) 64G Crucial realSSD and a few other little things and of course I bought it all right as it was coming out, you could probably find some deals and build it cheaper now. But having a computer that stays cool at 4.5Ghz is pretty nice. I could add water and hit 5Ghz pretty easy, I've already had it up to 4.8 but it was a little warmer than I like for 24/7 use. You will love the new rig and they are so easy to overclock and tinker with if you find the urge. Also you can pick up another 6950, flash it to 6970 and run them in Crossfire. My buddies rig is about the same as mine but with 2 of those and it's damn nice. Although he has an awesome, super clean case and really good water cooling and keeps his at 5Ghz all the time. He usually plays RIFT at max settings on his 30" dell monitor! What is it again, 2560x1600 resolution? that's a lot of pixels to fill and he still has no problems. Playing these games on a "normal" size monitor, you won't have any problem for quite a while.

Damn, that's not bad at all. I've got close to $2k in my new one and probably not that much more goodies in it and I had to put it all together!

I really wish they would take that video down, the wife asked the media to remove it, they could at least respect her wishes. Everyone watching a poor kid see his father for the last time. People don't think of that part of it. Not saying anything against you, just the media.

Wow, one wrong move and you are done. If you are an adrenaline junky I don't see how it could get any better than that though. I wonder how fast they are moving past those edges? You catch a bad draft or something and you are in for one seriously bad day. Might have to add that to the bucket list, probably toward the bottom though. You might not get much more checked off after trying that!

I think they should release it no matter how complicated it is. If it is really as difficult as they are saying, people just won't use it. But they shouldn't just assume that people can't tackle it.

I don't think it looks all that spectacular. Might as well be a DLC for MW2. The Game engine in BF3 is what looks killer. However I really think they should release the mod tools for it. If it is all that complicated, people just won't use it. Doesn't mean they should make that decision for everyone.

No problems here, I used Chrome for a while, it's really not bad but you can do so much more to Firefox that I plan on sticking with it.

It was just a matter of time. If everyone will pay a monthly fee to play on xbox and ps3 than why wouldn't the PC gamers? I think a lot of the companies feel more cheated by PCers also because there are a lot of people that don't pay for the game, they just download and crack it, so this is their way of making up for that. However it is not right that people that legally pay for a game should be punished by having to pay even more to keep playing it. $.02

I used to drink Jim Beam and Crown Royal. Now I prefer Basil Hayden. I also have a bottle of Jim Beam Rye that is pretty good, a bottle of 18 year Chivas and a couple others. Jack Daniels is probably one of the only whiskeys that I do not like. Yeah I have 2 EVGA GTX 470SC's in SLI, they do pretty good. lol. Seriously, spend the little extra to get the 470, but probably not the 480 unless you have extra money to throw away. My 470's will blow away a single 480 for damn near the same cost. And since the 5xx series came out, the 4xx are going down in price pretty quick. And if you really have some money to burn take a look at the EVGA 590 classified, even for shits and giggles it's pretty bad ass.

Yeah, I wouldn't get butt hurt over it, I would just go to another server until that one opened up again. Although a message letting me know what just happened would be appreciated. It's not that big of a deal. I donate when I can, and I play when I can, but I haven't had an invite so like I said, if you want to get in and it's full, have at it.

Oh I have seen quite a few also, there were a couple in the freezetag servers lately too. At least in the new one. Seems mostly the younger crowd to me though. I was seriously trying to shoot one in the ROTU the other day, and I kept throwing nades at him, it was pretty damn funny actually.

Wow, that is pretty bold. Maybe you missed the getting up at 6 and laying down for a nap at 10 part. Maybe his wife was up all night with the baby girl. And where did he say it was a 4 hour nap? Maybe it was only an hour. You don't know their situation and you should not be passing judgment. If you said some crap like that to me I know I would be pretty pissed. I work a lot of strange hours as does my wife. I have a daughter about to be 3 who still takes 2 hour naps in the middle of the day, and a 6 month old son who still doesn't sleep through the night. If his son normally takes a nap around that time, than maybe that is his schedule.

OS changed from Vista to 7, brand new hard drive, everything is working fine now, just have to download every map when I want to play it. I could delete all the maps and let the XI downloader do it's thing, but I figured there has to be a faster way to just have the game see the maps in the folder.

I finally got my new computer put together and in my hurry to get all my files to the new rig, I deleted the wrong file and lost all my profile data. However I did manage to save all the maps from the servers. But when I went to play last night, it downloaded the map again anyway. So how to you install the map in the game? Obviously XIdownloader doesn't find any new files because they are all there, but when I try to play it downloads it again. Anyone know how to make the game recognize that the map is actually there? Thanks

Also you may not want a jockey shifter for your first bike, they can be a little tricky.

You can find those things on craigslist pretty cheap. I would go for something like a Honda Rebel. 250cc, actual suspension, and will actually hit 70 mph and still get 70 mpg! Although with gas prices so high people have gone up on price for used ones. But can still be had for pretty cheap. Or get an old bike for cheap and chop it how you want it.
