I lived in Florence, Mapleton, Eugene and Roseburg when I was a kid. I have always loved Oregon The only reason I am in Texas is because of my job. I got out of the military in 1994 and went to work for Union Pacific Railroad in California. In 2001 they transferred me to Fort Worth , Texas. 9 more years until retirement and plan on going to Oregon and Washington during the summers.

Yeah, we drove on the Columbia river gorge highway, Multnomah falls was closed off, but we seen other falls in the area

Never got around that area, I am back in Texas now, perhaps some other time, planning on Northern Washington and British Columbia next year

well, the Mechanical Superintendent of the Southern Region came to our locomotive facility this morning and announced that they are letting go of 17 Electricians, 24 Machinists and 9 Laborers. Now I have 22 Electricians under me , a little scary, been with this company for over 25 years.
