Just wanted to post some other views.

Have been thinking it would be cool for ppl to post some MC builds on here. I dont have anything real special but i a while back i attempted building my very first castle and this is the result. Others please feel free to post more screenshots of other things (tristen i know you want to +1 me). Also i am using two different texture packs- the Sphax patch that comes with the 1.7.10 Pack and a texture pack from another modpack called Almura.

welcome to the forums and the MC server. I've been playing it for a while and yes it's very fun and there are tons of helpful players on it. If ya ever need anything just holler in server chat

Sounds like you guys could use some help. I've volunteered to help out and try to do my best to help in ways i already can. Not sure what the status of this is though as I was told to wait until the XI membership rules were updated. Anyways thanks for what you guys do. I love the server and really enjoy playing on it and appreciate the staff that do their best to maintain it! To keep this post on topic I'd have to say that taint spread is a bad idea imo. This server is not even close to a difficulty server in SO many ways. If you want more difficulty there are many other ways to add that rather than enabling something that could, as the OP said himself, would destroy player's bases etc. Milmaxleo had this problem with one of this towny members. Taint ruined her entire base. I will leave a list of some other ways I think you could increase difficulty without increasing the workload of the admins or causing too much frustration from the player base: 1. Decrease pay time for playing. Having money (and player shops) pretty much makes it easy to get from beginnger to end-game in a few days. 2. Set an official chunk loader limit. Now I do understand that enforcing this rule would be difficult and can be bypassed by towns with lots of towny members (such as myself, 21+ :D) but it would definitely make strategy on where you place them a bit more viable. (this would also help with TPS) I would just like to say that I like how the server is now, not too difficult and, well yeah it is pretty easy to progress on the server. It's not advertised as a difficulty or pvp server and I believe it should stay that way. Anyways thats all I have to say about that

Yes there are a few ways to expand upon the base 8 slots. You can invite more members to join you're town. I think you get 9 extra chunks per member. You could join/create a nation (joining one with already purchased claim blocks is easier) to get a max of i think 75 more but thats just a rough guess i really dont remember. The final way is the least popular and most expensive as you can buy individual chunks for 5,000$ a pop. Ask around on the server, there are a few decent sized nations to join.

Hi, So I'm new to the forums but I've been on the XI 1.7.10 pack server for quite a while now. Anyways I noticed that we have a relatively populated server and the XI clan seems to be populated as well. I was just wondering if minecraft is one of the smaller parts of XI? It would make sense as it's not really a pvp based game and it seems like most of the XI games are, which is cool. Anyways I was just basically seeing if I was the only one that noticed the lack of activity on the MC XI forums. I personally would like to see more activity here as I wouldn't mind bouncing building ideas off of other players, plus it gives me somewhere to go when the server crashes lol. I guess that's about it. - Shirey
