I started playing CoD when it came out, migrated to United Offensive (and purchased every WW2 themed CoD since. I can't really get into the Modern Warfare games. I think CoD WaW is the best version, but the least I've played. Every time I turn around there is another new map (which is very cool). My skills are ok, but there are some folks that rock the scores. And almost every time you see that they have very low pings. I understand that they are closer to the server, but these people most often get the jump on me and I'd like to understand the technical reasons for it. Do they "see" me a split second before I see them? What is up? For instance, if I ping 70 and someone else pings 14, what exactly is the advantage? When I spec these characters, they play almost the same as I.
