One fucking kill I got!! COD2 was my gateway from MOHAA to COD4 all those years ago, I will try it again, but it just bugs the crap out of me if it crashes that there is nothing you can do but reboot!! I mean, what the actual fuck? lol

I just wanted to share my frustration and vent... I feel much better for it.

Already a reinstall based on those instructions. Just crashes occasionally and can't do anything but reboot if it does. Not trying anymore. It can fuck off.

If it crashes, I have to reboot PC... no other options. It freezes so no other window will draw over it, so I can't access task manager or anything. Fuck you COD 2!!

I have everything set to max (except brightness, obviously... and textures as that causes a crash but it's a known issue, set textures to High).

So your Steam account has been reset to the new email address, but it won't let you install COD4 because it is associated with your old account? Sounds like it should be pretty simple to switch it over to the new account. https://www.facebook.com/Steam/?fref=ts Have a rant on their facebook page... I always find it amazing how quick companies are to respond to problems when they are voiced on a public platform!

If your old email is still active, it would be easier to contect them and reset email info so you can access that than going through steam trying reassign everything to a new account.

It appears to depend greatly on the lead that I am using... it appears I have some shitty USB/Micro USB leads that were provided for the purposes of charging micro USB devices, but appear to be no good for data transfer etc... Didn't realise there would be a varying degree of function with Micro USB leads...

The ports will charge the devices fine, it just won't recognise them as MTP or storage devices.

Is anyone else having difficulty with using multiple MTP devices on Windows 10? I have 3 connected to different USB ports, but it only recognises the 1st one connected..... it refuses to acknowledge any others. Have they limited the number of devices you can connect at any given time, or is it just my machine being dumb?!?!?

I have done this now thanks....found a thread with instructions... but the redirect is stuck in a loop. Downloading everything through the XI downloader now though to see if that grabs everything I need. (Ots the taunts file that is stuck at 0 bytes and it then downloads the first file again...and repeat.... and repeat)

You'll have to tell me how to get it working in windows 10... damn thing just crashes after the splash screen.

Oh yeah, check it isn't muted too!

I started off playing MOH:AA on <<{MFF}>> servers back in 2004 and got addicted to Freeze Tag, signed up with them and enjoyed their family friendly atmosphere, but MOH:AA was slowly dying and many members were not upgrading to better games. We tried branching out to COD2, FEAR and BF2, but it was difficult to get folks to move on. I started playing COD4 FT over on XI servers maybe around 2010-2011 as it was regularly populated and had an awesome FT mod. Stormcrow suggested I pop along to the forums and say hey, as he remembered the XOA clan which is where the MFF founders started (BigRedOne and JonnyBecare). After a few years of FT and bad habits developing (Courtesy of Cobrabites and Jumper) I now frequently yell obscenities at you all and occasionally get near the top of the scoreboard. I was asked to join by Pink (although Nisty chatted with me about it too, maybe even instigated it), Cobra was my sponsor, although google offered and called me a beech. Been a member for almost a year now (8 Months) and you've all been regretting it since! Muahahaha

Go to game settings, sound... make sure it's set to windows default. Using headset? Which one? Phone jack, usb, wireless.? I have this problem with my sound and mic...I usually exit game, stop corsair sound program and restart it, reconnect headset, start game and it's working again.
