Not a steam game, although steam has fucked it up enough that sometimes it thinks it is.

They work fine now. The last demo I recorded (using /record iboomboomissimple) saved the file iboomboomissimple.spd So when I went to play it, it said iboomboomissimple.dm_1 could not be found, because it was really iboomboomissimple.spd But it does save them properly now.

Thanks. They aren't in .dm_1 format though. I have said this already, they are .spd!

Yeah I reinstalled it today but haven't tested it yet. /record filename records a .spd file and it won't play in the player. I presume you just play it back in the console... /play filename ?

Ok, apparently it saved it in a .SPD format. Now my game won't launch lol. One of those days....

That doesn't work for me. There is no file recorded anywhere under the names I choose, or in the .dm_1 format.

I was using Raptr AMD Gaming Evolved to record moments in game as Xfire's recording isn't as compatible as it used to be. But now it just seems to be stuck on the "setting up game" screen or the loading screen. The audio is ok, but no video to speak of. Xfire is ok, but its a faff recoding it to a more universal codec than the xfr1 it uses and the flashback feature doesn't seem to work any more. I would use the built in recorder, but it doesn't work for me either. It doesn't save them anywhere and I ran a search on the whole PC and couldn't find a file, so not sure what I'm doing wrong there. What do you guys use? Any fix for Xfire codec and flashback feature? How do I get the console record function to work? Many thanks in advance.

Thanks folks. For those who don't know me... I started gaming late in life compared to most and started playing MOHAA. I used to play freeze tag on the MFF servers and joined their clan and helped run the servers, helped write the rcon tool we used and tried to get new games going. I really only play on XI servers now so I am very pleased to have been accepted. Hopefully I can prove useful and help out where needed.

I do think twice about defrosting someone if they habitually fail to melt teammates. Not to punish them, just more helpful to the team to melt someone who is also going to melt.

Could it be possible to drop a collected killstreak for a teammate? I would have much preferred to drop it rather than it be lost into the ether.
