Restart the box lol

I disagree with iPooPoo ahem iBoomBoom and I use the spawn protection after an Rc to further my survival and gain the next kill streak, or to knife someone in the back (which is my favourite use for it). However, it royally pisses me off when it happens to me lol. Angus will testify that it is infuriating to get stabbed in the back, when you are in an area with one entry point that you are watching like a hawk! Or you go into a room and check all the corners and go to move on and then you get nailed by someone spawning behind you. The solution would be to revert back to spawning at spawn with the full protection. No disadvantage is dealt, but more importantly, there is no advantage gained!

...And then hide in the box. Lol -
Just to add.... I rebuilt my old Dell (as my daughter is going to use it now) and I couldn't update it as XP is not supported anymore so all the microsoft links are dead. I also couldn't update any drivers without doing it manually so I have upgraded it to windows 7 and it works a treat. Processor is a bit ancient by todays standards (intel pentium 4 3GHZ) but it does the trick. We'll get a few more years out of her yet!

Disable the spawn protection after cars all together? It will be like reloading, you will have to plan your cars and use them sensibly.

How do you call in an ammo crate? -
He sounds like a legend... It also sounds like he will go when he is ready and not before. Our thoughts will be with you all.

It's good. Most of the weapons could do with being a bit more powerful. STG44 should be decent and yet it can't kill 4 zombies without reloading. Only weapon worth using is Thompson with scope and shotty. -

I joined yesterday and the redirect downloads were jerky as though the connection was intermittent. -
It might be an idea to post adjustments that people can make that may benefit other players, that way people will get feedback on whether they are pushing boundaries or not. If an open discussion is encouraged, we could all benefit from it. I would like to know what people think of FOV. Is it ok to modify this? How much is recommended and how much would be too much? I have not modified my FOV, but I know some people have and I would like some input.

It's better than it being 5 on 1 and the one hiding in a fucking cave hoping to pull a win out of his arse! Other than that, not really. I don't mind being snitched on, it makes them come after you, you know you can't stay in one spot and both teams can do it.

Can we add the spelling correction to "lanuch without mods" in the main menu? Bugged me on all the mods so far. Lol

I read somewhere that COD4 has a memory leak issue when textures are set to Extra. I set them to The next one down (High) and managed to play for a while with no crash. Thanks for help folks. Just for the record, I had done the following also: Memory test (mdsched.exe) Hard drive check (chkdsk.exe) Disk Defragmenter Updated BIOS Updated all drivers buggered about with page file (which didnt really change anything as I have enough ram to deal with the programs I am running and it was alredy set to sensible parametres)
-
Yeah I don't think it's the page file process, I think it's more likely that there is a memory leakage from cod4 as it seems to be the only thing it happens with. It crashes using quite a lot of memory, but still under what the pc is capable of. Might try reinstalling again.
-
I have recently changed that to try and correct the issue. It was set at 8GB which was the auto setting, but now it is set at 12GB which was the recommended. It just does the same.
-
Also, it does seem to happen at map changes mostly. Just running a disk check atm so will try re downloading the maps. Cheers gang

I have noticed that maps have been loading slower than they used to.

I reboot daily with a quick virus scan. I'm on a fresh install after installing new hard drive and gpu so I have just downloaded mods and maps as I go.
