  1. Nice setup larrymc! I'm running two computers (work and personal) with the same keyboard, mouse & 2 monitors, but I was afraid to lose refresh rate, gaming picture quality... so I settled on a usb switch for the peripherals and run separate cables from each computer to each monitor. I'm running 2 1440p monitors at 144Hz.
  2. Welcome aboard Teki!
  3. Thanks all, I'm excited to be a part of the crew and look forward to bringing the pain on the servers!
  4. Thanks Skuz, there are some maps I've never seen that are great this week!
  5. The steelcase will be legit quality, but it looks like its also a sit/stand desk. Those are always a bunch more coin. If you're not interested in standing, I'd check out just the ones for sitting... from steelcase still. The amazon one looks cheap. I personally like to find stuff on craigslist (or facebook marketplace if you've got it) that's good quality, but someone wants to get rid of. I was using a steelcase filing cabinet as one end of my computer desk and the other I had a couple adjustable legs from Ikea. It was good while it lasted. I've now got a desk that my wife's work was looking to get rid of and its solid. I'd go for quality and not get a standing desk if it doesn't need to be. My two cents... which adjusted for inflation is now worth one!
  6. May you celebrate well with choice food and beverage. Happy birthday Mad Cow!
  7. I'm in Chico, CA so far. The CA has been going crazy so we will see what the future holds.
  8. Nice! My appraiser stretched to support value thinking he was helping me. Later, I find he thinks it was $20k overvalued. I wish he would have come in lower like yours did!
  9. Nice!
  10. Good to have you back Totty. Those are some sweet shirts!
  11. Thanks Skuz! What are lil people and rat maps? They sound exciting when they do come around.
  12. Way to live Morris! May you celebrate well with choice food and drink!
  13. Thanks E-raser, I always enjoy seeing your tag in the mix!
  14. Thanks Snap, I'll do my best to remain vigilant... for the bad jokes, ha!
  15. Thanks Rex! Sometimes it feels like iron sharpening iron!
  16. Thanks Lazy! Always good competition!
  17. Thanks CrazyGirl! I know you'll make good on your promise.
  18. Thanks Dman! I recently started using camo with a silenced rifle so heads up, not gonna be a red dot on the recon, ha!
  19. Hey all, Just wanted to introduce myself and extend a big thanks to the XI admins and community. I'm 40 years old and live in Northern California, who knew! If I need to flee the state some day do I change my gamer name? Time will tell... I've been playing Battlefield (started w/1942) and Call of Duty (Modern Warfare) for years and in recent times have spent most my gaming hours playing CoD World at War capture the flag and over the last year or so on XI's World at War freeze tag server. In a day when people are so "well-connected," that many feel even more isolated, the freeze tag server is bucking the trend. With familiar voices on each evening the servers culture is welcoming, friendly and fun. Years ago I hopped on and couldn't figure out how to play and moved on. I wish I had given it a lil more time to figure it out then. The maps changing weekly adds spice to life and keeps me on my toes. Thanks again and hope to see you in the trenches! NorCal_Jared
  20. Real Estate Appraiser!
  21. Congratulations Oxen!
  22. Thanks all for the input. I had great trouble trying to get steam CoD WaW to work yesterday (wouldn't let me create a profile-seems too common of a problem based on message boards). I'll instead try making an ISO of my original disc and installing that on my new machine, then bring over my profile folders.
  23. My old computer is still working and years back I had installed the game on it from a cd. My new system doesn't have a cd drive (and I think I gave my external cd reader away), so I just installed it from Steam. So, should I now just swap over the C:\Users\your named\AppData\Local\Activision and drop it into where it goes in the steam folder? Thanks Kapt!
