  1. This is one of the most amazing things i have seen. And the loyalty shown was very moving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7knUFWY2P44
  2. no beers, just the electricity gremlins causing havoc with the electric fence resulting in power surges in the house. it's good to be back jumper did i really have that icy effect on your eyes sykorsky? lol
  3. Hi everyone. Sorry i've been a little scarce. Between work and electricity problems at home i haven't been able to turn my pc on. hopefully these problems are now gone and i can continue gaming. Holy crap it's good to be back online!
  4. congrats on making the clan. just a couple more days for me.
  5. Awesome looking map. could you make sure there are ai nodes added to it so we could use it for the rising mod as well. that'd be really great.
  6. after looking at the vids i gotta say good catch as well. no fucking way in hell is anyone that good and i've been playing fps for about 12 years
  7. awesome work guys. i really enjoyed it.
  8. have you tried resetting and reconfiguring your bios? what mobo are you using? standard mobos these days can support at least 8 gigs of ram without a problem. are all your ram chips the same make and model? if not then you could have compatibility issues. are the other two slots dead? have you tried removing the ram in those slots and putting the recognised ones in those slots? is your bios configured to read the ram as dual channel or single channel. some mobos i've noticed when you have two of the same ram chips will configure dual channel and then only 2 gigs will be recognised ie. you might have 2 x 2gig chips and when in dual channel it recognises both chips but will only give you the 2 gigs access because they are running parallel to each other to increase speed (best example is raid mirroring where you have 2 x 40gig hdd then only 40 gig is recognised for storage and the secondary hdd is an exact mirror of the first) and then in single channel mode it will give you full access to the 2 x 2gig as 4 gig ram. also does you cpu fsb match a supported fsb on the mobo? does the ram run at the same speed as the fsb? your fsb could be 1066mhz but your ram might be running at 800 mhz. there's a major slow down for you.
  9. that is the easiest way to so it or you can just download the map packs like i do and then keep them safe.
  10. my family and i will keep her in our prayers. good luck and i hope she gets well soon.
  11. just one more thing, sorry. Is you mouse wireless? if so did you check the batteries? i know it's a stupid question but it did beg to be asked. lol
  12. continued from last post also another cause for your ram is one of the slot on the mobo could be dead or dirty. could also be a nasty thing as chip creep which i often suffer from. all it do then is strip my machine down entirely and clean every crevice with a soft paint brush to loosen the dirt and compressed air in a can from the local electronics store. put new conductive gel on the cpu, put it all back together, reset the bios and reconfigure it. you don't need to reformat your hdd and reinstall everything as your harddware isn't changed when you do this. just make sure that you set the acpi to whatever it was before or you'll have to go in and change it again. also check your voltage output on your psu. you could not be getting the correct voltages, this can be done in the bios in most systems or through a third party program. in this case you'll need to find another psu first to test and see if it outputs the correct voltages. if so then you need to replace yours. just as a final note, if you are running win 7 you do not need to reinstall your os, just make sure that you have configured your bios properly then go to your hardware manager and make sure you cpu is listed properly. i've never had to reinstall my os unles i was running an oem version and i changed my motherboard
  13. firstly, is it the bios not recognising all your ram? if that is the case, then your bios is not configured properly. if your bios is configured properly then your ram is incompatible with you other hardware. if your ram is specced at 800 mhz and your cpu is capable of supporting 1033mhz that will also slow you down big time and cause these issues. secondly are you running 64 bit or 32 bit? 32 bit will recognize that you have a lot of ram but will only access 3gigs of it and leave the rest. 64 bit will utilize all of it. did you reconfigure your bios when you put the new cpu in? if you didn't then just access your bios and then save and exit, that'll set the default settings for the cpu. anytime i add new hardware to my machine whether it's a lan card, more ram, cpu etc i always access the bios then save and exit. it also sounds like your cpu could be overheating, or your ram, or your puwer supply unit. is your heatsink clean? did you use conductive gel between cpu and heatsink? is your ram clean. is your power supply free from dust? these are all problems that i've had in the past causing exactly waht you're experiencing now and that is what i did to fix it.
