  3. "that should show her how crazy I am." yeah, a lot! http://youtu.be/vumzl-lQ0gg
  4. Some constructive criticism: Stabilize your camera. The shaky/horror movie style makes it hard to follow during the cooking. That camera style is perfect for the bathroom scene! Did you wash your beans First? You should ALWAYS wash and sort your beans first, otherwise you risk getting sick. I’ve been making beans since I could sit in the kitchen and watch my Mama… wash your beans before and after the boil. I have started boiling my burger meat and then doing a sauté. It makes the meat tender and loose. Sauté it afterward to get a nice brown and caramelize any onions. Otherwise, good vid. Very funny!

  13. I want to go, but my finances are unstable and I am unable to commit. (Even though the prices are reasonable, please understand that at this point in my life, I am struggling just to get meds and groceries.) If I am able to go, which I want to very, very much, I will not be able to participate in any of the extra activities.
  14. 2 cups water (approximately) 2 tablespoons water (additional if needed) Directions: 1 Empty the ice cubes that are left in the trays (if there are any left) into the bin. 2 Take the trays over to the sink and fill them with cold water. 3 Place the water filled ice trays back in the freezer. 4 Replace the ice bin if you had to remove it. 5 Shut the door to the freezer. 15. Thank all of you for your kind words and support. I still haven't found out about a memorial service or the obit. I know he was a full body donor so I don't think there will be a funeral. His name was James Robert Uzzell. He had just moved from Lexington, KY to Vidor, TX and moved into a nursing home near his son. He liked this photo and used it as his facebook photo, but he hadn't looked this healthy in years. This is from just before Christmas when my nephew moved him into a home in Vidor.
  16. My oldest brother died this morning. He was in ICU for the last few days and last night they took him off life support. The same thing happened with my mother in 1983; we had to have her "unplugged" then we waited. It's a weird feeling to wait for someone to die; to know with certainty that the end is shockingly near. Even when there is a terminal illness, as was the case with my mother, when they die it still slaps the shit out of you. My brother, Jimmy, was a grown man when I was born and I barely knew him. I didn't want him to live in pain, but now I'll never have the chance to know him. I worry for my other siblings whom I am closer to. I worry more that I may be last and have to watch them all go. This is me and my siblings in about 1968 in our house in Metairie, LA. Top: Jimmy, DD (Anne). Bottom: Johnny, Kathy (me), Joey. (only my family call me Kathy or my sister DD.) Dad & Mom (with her Frankenstein hairdo) 1965 in the house I was born to in New Orleans (Uptown).
