    WiZiD I have a ASUS Essence ST and a G35 head set. What a difference. Doesn't the G35 have it's own usb built in sound, And would have now effect what sound card you have ?

    Lene There is no need for a soundcard, i have onboard sound, and can hear foot steps even from people with silent perk and your sound will be more directional enabling you to her from which direction people are coming. It just has to do something with a good headset, if you have a 5.1 or more, you need a onboard sound with this, that will be the only thing to by a headset, if you bord don´t ahve this ;-) I can hear the foot steps , I was looking for a little more, My head set are analog stereo..

    I use on board sound , with a head set , would there be any advantage in getting a sound card, It just for gaming.. I've been looking at the Asus Xonar Dx, what do you think, any better then on board sound. Or do you have some good suggestions for me, price is always a consideration.

    I never have a problem ,, But then again I don't play it either,,Have it installed ,Cleared the single player and it didn't do anything for me.
