So I paid the 5bucks tp preorder MOH so I can get in on the beta and see if it was gonna be worth getting or not. In my opinion not worth it. First off after logining in to get into a game I saw Match Making. So seems no Dedis. Game play I would say BFBC2. Not my cup of tea. Now bear n mind its the beta. It may or may not be your cup of tea but its enough for me to cancel my preorder. Graphics where great. But like I said its not what I am looking for I want the Dedis so I can play with the rest of you all. Anyone else try the beta share your opions/thoughts on the game here.

Hands-on Overload It was 7 days ago that select community members visited Treyarch studios to preview Black Ops. 7 days later and we finally get their impressions of the game. After a weeks wait, the embargo has finally been lifted! The select community members have posted their impressions on the game as well as the press who also previewed the game in the past week. Rather than posting extracts of each article, we will let you visit the URL's yourself so that you can sink your teeth into the wonderful world of Black Ops! Although these impressions and interviews are mostly based on opinions and do not feature a lot of new information, it's certainly interesting to hear the communities opinion on what they saw. We've gathered that the game is purely full of epic win and will be action-packed. The two missions that were shown are called "WMD" and "Slaughterhouse". Although Single Player was only shown, multiplayer was touched on slightly. It appears that a Barebones playlist is being developed, create a class has new features, multiplayer has been in development from day 1, matchmaking has been improved and plenty of World at War lobby features will return, this includes the "leave with party" option. Host migration will also be in the game and apparently Treyarch have a "security team" who will deal with those pesky cheaters and hackers. It's clear to us that Treyarch is extremely dedicated to Single Player, Co-op, Multiplayer and the overall game. A lot more people are working on the game than previously before and everything has been improved, from sounds to enemy AI. It's also astonishing to hear that Treyarch will use the same motion technology that was used in Avatar, this leads them to create better character performances of which are captured by 200 cameras. Now enough of the talk, it's time to read the articles in full! Mixed news roundup In the coming days we expect a lot of new Black Ops content to be released, so we felt like bringing you back up to speed with what we know so far. Last week a couple of community representatives flew out to Santa Monica for a first look at Treyarch's studio. Even though they had a great time and couldn't really find the words to describe how awesome they thought the game was, they're not allowed to talk about any details until after May 28th - this coming Friday. That also happens to be the day that Josh Olin's, community manager at Treyarch (aka. @JD_2020 »), wraps up his press tour in the United Kingdom. So expect juicy details tomorrow! Multiplayer Development is well underway but it's still a long road to November 9th, when Call of Duty Black Ops will hit the shelves. In the last couple of weeks things have started rolling with a couple of magazines covering the game, but also with opening the official Black Ops website » and the secretive GKNOVA6 » taking off to highs no man have ever gone before. So what have we learned about multiplayer so far? First off: DEDICATED SERVERS. Yes, it has been confirmed by Treyarch's studio head Mark Lamia (source: CVG », thanks thebigrobbyrob) as well as by this T-shirt » worn by Josh Olin, a name you will be hearing a lot off, we're sure. It's most likely this will only be implemented for the PC version of Black Ops and not for the consoles, but when more information on this subjects arises we'll be sure to hit you up a.s.a.p. Secondly, a BAREBONES mode is up for discussion. It's something the community screamed for in Modern Warfare 2, developed by Infinity Ward. They never got to implement it (for reasons unknown), but Treyarch is currently looking into it. Barebones mode is basically a mode that cuts through all the shit, sort of speak. Nothing has been decided yet but you can think about disabled perks and killstreaks and weapons without any attachments for example. Please join the discussion about a barebone modes here » and tell the team your ideas. Third, developers have been asking for feedback a lot. Not just for the usual like what did you did and did not like in previous Call of Duty games, but also what your ideas would be on a controller scheme for people with disabilities. So if you feel like sharing your thoughts jump the wagon and make your voice heard! Fun fact; Some of the multiplayer maps were up and running so early that they have actually been used as campaign levels, not the other way around! Singleplayer / Campaign Black Ops will be set in the Cold War-era, which is a pretty lengthy period of time after second World War in which the Soviet Union and the United States played the biggest parts. Although there was never an "official" war, there were many conflicts, espionage, propaganda, a nuclear arms race and the Space Race (which words can be seen in the reveal trailer). The war stretched from the Soviet Union (Russia) to Vietnam (1959-1975), Germany (1961), Cuba (1962) and the United States... So it's hard to pinpoint what exactly the storyline will be like. The Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) did mention it will not be a Vietnam game, it just happens to take place - partially - during this infamous conflict. You will play members of the Studies and Operations Group (SOG), a secret branch whose actions are completely deniable. In one of the missions you will climb in a SR-71 Blackbird », the iconic spy plane in the Cold War. This plane can be seen in the Reveal Trailer. After you have taken off, you'll be providing recon from space to troops below on the battlefield. In another mission you will be shot down in a helicopter, crashing you in the Huong River and you will need to get past the huts build right next to it. This means a lot of swimming with just a knife to defend yourself. Exciting! OXM also confirmed a couple of interesting new elements for the singleplayer though. At one point in the storyline you will be the pilot » of an helicopter. You will not just man the turret or shooting rockets, you'll be the one actually flying the thing. This worked out great for Bad Company 2 and we trust Treyarch to make it at least as fun to do. General news Black Ops is the first game for Treyarch which has their focus. Previously In the past, they had times when they worked on 3 games at once but now the entire (over 200+) roster is dedicated to the development of this single game. It will release on November 9th this year for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Nintendo Wii. It's currently not known if they will be developed for the mobile market too, we're looking at you iPad! If you feel like it, why not jump over to the Digital Warfare 24/7 forums » and share your thoughts with the community?

Singularity and Wolfenstein developer Raven Software "may be the latest studio to pick up the Call of Duty slack," according to Kotaku and its "source close to the studio." Though publisher Activision already has three Call of Duty titles in the works--Treyarch'sCall of Duty: Black Ops, Sledgehammer's untitled action-adventure entry and, according to court documents, Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3--the company is reportedly "flipping out" about the unfolding situation at series creator Infinity Ward. That situation kicked off in March 2010, when Activision fired Infinity Ward co-founders Vince Zampella and Jason West citing "breaches of contract and insubordination." Since then, approximately thirty-five others have left the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 maker of their own volition and Activision has been served with two related lawsuits. As for Raven Software, Kotaku's source added that the studio's two projects--a James Bond title and an unannounced follow-up to X-Men Origins: Wolverine--have been put on hold in the wake of its "path to Call of Duty development." [Update - 10:15pm CST] According to G4's sources, "Activision has tasked Raven Software with making Call of Duty: Black Ops map packs." Thanks the archvile.

The highs and lows of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward and Activision. That's right, another article focussing on the recent highs and lows that have been occurring in the Call of Duty world recently. BBC News have posted a very interesting article » (thanks IrateCustomer » for the heads up!) regarding Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward, Activision and Bungie. The article notes how much of a success Modern Warfare 2 was and also talks about the recent lawsuits and the exodus at Infinity Ward. The lawsuit accused Activision of "astonishing arrogance and unbridled greed" and complained that Activision forced the pair "to sue for their pay - in the hopes of either getting away with not having to pay them anything, or maximising its leverage to reduce that pay". The suit even quotes Activision CEO Bobby Kotick's famous statement about fostering a company culture instilled with "scepticism and pessimism and fear". Activision then countersued, making it clear that they were aware West and Zampella had secretly held talks with with Activision's arch rival Electronic Arts. Activision also claimed that the pair had tried to "steal" Infinity Ward and "hijack Activision's assets for their own personal gain". Although Infinity Ward does not have control over the Call of Duty name as a whole, the situation with the Modern Warfare sub-brand is less clear and Activision has warned fans that West and Zampella's legal efforts may seriously delay any new sequel. And that was before the exodus at Infinity Ward began. The article then ends off talking about the recent news of Bungie joining Activision for 10 years. As the predictions of Infinity Ward's demise, and the implied negative effect this would have on the Call of Duty franchise, reached their crescendo Activision played their trump card. They announced a 10-year exclusive contract with developer Bungie, creators of Halo - one of the few video game series that can compete with Call of Duty on an equal footing. The deal immediately papered over any holes in Activision's portfolio that a collapse at Infinity Ward might have produced. To read the article in full, make sure you head over to BBC news ».

First off double tap only applys to fully automatic weapnos not single shot or burst weapons. And second you need to address this to the appeals section of the forums. So that it can be looked at and dealt with in a timely manor. Until then you wont get the response u may or may not be looking for until then.

The past few weeks and months in the Call of Duty world have featured whirlwinds of speculation and chaos, but there doesn't appear to be an ending in sight as the plot thickens even further. A group of 38 Infinity Ward employees, called the "Infinity Ward Employee Group", have filed a new lawsuit against the Call of Duty publisher. The group consists of current and recently resigned employees who claim that Activision forced them to stay at the developer until they delivered Modern Warfare 3 or they would not receive their earned unpaid royalties. It is believed that Activision has paid the employees an amount of $28 million but the employees want at least $54 million more due to the profits that Modern Warfare 2 made. A short extract from the lawsuit can be read below. Unpaid bonuses from 2009 and 2010 sales generated by Modern Warfare 2 -- fourth quarter 2009 and first quarter 2010, specifically. Bonuses "due and owing to them" past first quarter 2010. "Bonus/royalty/profit participation" related to "technology/engine" royalties, "other special performance bonuses," "other studio bonuses" or "any other bonus/royalty/profit participation."' Lost value on "restricted stock units" that Activision "promised" would vest (read: own it in your own name and purchase it from Activision) when Modern Warfare 2 sales eclipsed Modern Warfare 1, which "has long ago occurred." Money owed as it relates to Modern Warfare 2 "sister games, including but not limited to" the oft-mentioned Modern Warfare 3, "if Modern Warfare 3 is ultimately delivered and marketed." Interest rates related to the above sums of money. The employees have also claimed that they were held "hostage" at the company until they delivered Modern Warfare 3 or they would not receive certain amounts of their bonuses. The lawsuit speculates many times that Activision breached contracts, including the California Labor Code. This law tells us that Activision had a duty to to pay all of the Infinity Ward Employee Group members the money they are owed within 72 hours of the termination of their employment. Activision have since made a short response regarding the matter. Activision believes the action is without merit. Activision retains the discretion to determine the amount and the schedule of bonus payments for MW2 and has acted consistent with its rights and the law at all times. We look forward to getting judicial confirmation that our position is right. The full list of plantiffs mentioned in the suit (not all of them have left Infinity Ward): Todd Alderman, Frank Gigliotti, Roger Abrahamsson, Brad Allen, Mohammad Alavi, Richard Baker, Chad Barb, Keith Bell, Chris Cherubini, Taihoon William Cho, Chris Dionne, Joel Emslie, Robert Field, Steve Fuduka, Robert Gaines, Chance Glasco, Preston Glenn, Joel Gompert, Chad Grenier, Mark Grigsby, John Haggerty, Jacob Michael Keating, Chris Lambert, Ryan Lastimosa, Fairfax S. McCandlish IV, Jason McCord, Brent Mcleod, John Paul Messerly, Stephen Miller, Zied Rieke, Jon Shiring, John Slayback, Richard Smith, Geoffery Smith, Jiesang Song, Todd Sue, Rayme C. Vinson and Lei Yang. All are represented by Wyman & Issacs LLP located in Los Angeles. It's very clear that there is still a lot of trouble at the studio and publisher and we don't expect the storm to blow away just yet. Source: G4TV » ~ Boyle111
