    I USE TO HAVE SAME PROBLEM THIS WORKED FOR ME... START, CONTROL PANEL, SOUND, RECORDING, THEN RIGHT CLICK ON THE WHITE SPACE AND MAKE SURE (SHOW DISABLED DEVICES) IS TICKED, THEN AT THE BOTTEM OF YOUR RECORDIN DEVICES YOU SHOULD HAVE ONE THAT SAYS (STEREO MIM) RIGHT CLICK ON IT AND ENABLE IT, HOPE FULLY THAT WILL WORK FOR YOU IT DID FOR ME SPEC FOR COD4....
