Hiya all! So we have a new website but what we are lacking is a new banner to go with it. The current one really doesn't suite it at all. So What I am looking for is people to have a stab at creating a new set of banners which we can then hold a vote on to choose our new one. The basics are: Width: 240 to 260 px Height: 60px There also needs to be a version that is at least 200px by 200px that follows the same styling, this one can have a bit more to it though. I look forward to seeing your logo ideas! Thanks,

On the note of the website being sluggish we are 33% of the way through re-indexing the posts, this is what is causing the database to lock and the site to crawl at times. It's taken well over 48 hours to get this far so it will be like this for a few more days i'm afraid.

I have changed the member and admin menu items so they contain some more useful links. There is now a xi member list and also a registered user list. I have added a set of support forums and forms pointing to them I have changed the Discord block on the home page to be the traditional one I have changed the 'members online in past 24 hours' block on the home page to 'members online now' I have added the XI support image back to the home page linking to the appeal and support forms

@Hunter the online users box and the birthdays are on the right hand side of the forums (was running out of space on the home page). There are no longer 'friends' and they are now 'followers' as its gone a bit social media style but I will take a look and see if it's possible. @cpl-chPetz Thanks

Well this is the thing when we are talking about lag. You are always seeing it as there is no way around it. It is a physical impossibility to prevent lag as the event is occurring on a server in a different country to yourself. It's really a case of how much you see and there are so many reasons for the process to be 30 ms longer and then for your packet to be processed a tick after the person shooting you and then your packet to be delayed on the way back by 10 ms and in that time the other person who is closer to the server has shot again and killed you and then you get your packet and now you can see the enemy so you turn to shoot but you are already dead etc. etc. There are so many systems working at such a quick rate here connected by the internet which is notoriously unpredictable that without a doubt things will not line up perfectly. Lag compensation helps with that but it cannot make corrections for the unknown.

Correct, the upgrade has discarded the login name and you only have a single display name which you also login on.

You're going into the deep technical depths of networking and ticks. The numbers that are being talked about are generally so small that it's unnoticeable - however with COD you have the added element that its running on a netcode/codebase that is very old and hasn't been updated to work to its fullest with the hardware that we have today. A great rundown of what you are looking for can be found on Reddit, it's for Overwatch but the basics are the same on any game.

@AyaqGuyaq You might be interested in the 'Activity' streams on the menu, they provide you a way of getting straight to the content without going through the forums.

@djMot It looks as though the notifications system may have changed a little during the upgrade. You can change the settings here: https://www.xtremeidiots.com/notifications/options/ to turn off the emailing. The three settings you will want are here:

@Stringer Expect lag for a while as it's running some heavy background tasks that are rebuilding everything (about 40%) done so far.

@Merlin007 agreed, for now I have put the same font colours as the rest of the theme instead of the red. Depending what changes we make to the colours we may need to revisit it.

@Merlin007 I have not installed Tapatalk as this website version should have a usable mobile theme, plus there are only a few Tapatalk users and it's a fair amount to maintain. @Hunter I thought Facebook would be an issue but apparently not, there were some warnings on the install about Facebook accounts but they have not broken anything it seems - continue as is.
