shamu if you look up a computer buying guide on google there are many of them they have pictures on how to assemble a computer some are even so detailed they even show you exactly where each psu connection goes. but for the most part each connection should be labled on the connection itself and the mother board is labled too just match pretty. i have to remove my motherboard each time i want to remove my psu for the purpose of cleaning cuz i have really big hands and my case is a mid tower. some connections might now be labled like the sata and 4 pin and maybe even the 6 to 8 pin vid card ones. but they are easy to recognize.... small l shaped ones are for the hard drives. white 4 pins are normally for accessories like fans and some cd drives. the black 6 to 8 pin connectors go to video cards.

lol i got a total budget of 2500 for this pc but 1500 is for the parts... 500 for a screen and 500 for scythe fans and heatsink and cable sleeves.... ill be posting a build log for you guys to look at might mostly be links to my build log on xtremesystems but none the less a good build log

ya i used a really good psu calculator that i trust and have used in the past for the power supply. it said i would need a minimum of 751 watts at peak power so 850 is plenty. thats a good card markoff but i cant tell if it has dual bios so i dont know if i could unlock the shaders to make it a 6970

so im gonna be building a new computer here real soon and im needing some help for the build. i need a full build including a monitor and os for around 1200. must have dual vid cards been looking at the amd 6800 series as they are really well priced and not that far behind the 6900 series of the same kind (ie 6870 vs 6970). id would like as much ram in it as possible not the most important to me as long as it has at least 4 gb. monitor i have already picked out is the asus 24 in monitor thats 199 on newegg. os is win 7 home 64 bit. i prefer amd over nvidia and intel. if u could help id appreciate it.

cps and the police said no charges will be filed. we co-operated with them every step of the way. well tomorrow im flipping the handle to our bed room door so u have to use a special key to unlock it from inside the room that way my wife can lock it at night when we all go to sleep cuz his bed is next to ours and that way if we take a nap he still cant get out.

we found him the managers at our apartments had him but now cps is involved. they didnt believe he could move the couch as well and we had him prove that he could and the were extremely surprised. went and bought a chain lock and installed it maybe now he cant leave. we shall see. my son is smart and creative.

so i work nights and i sleep from 5 am to about 1 or 2 pm. well my wife, son and baby daughter take a nap and sleep with me around 10 am cuz they all get up at 6. when i go to bed i push the couch in front of the door and jam something into the door to keep my son from getting out incase he wakes before us. well today im awaken by my wife saying my son is gone. my son had pushed the couch from where i put it pulled the item jammed in the door, undid the lock and deadbolt and walked out. we had the police and dhs here and we dont know what we are going to do. my wife is in tears cuz of the fear of losing our babies.
