Aaron Kurth: My G2X is having problems i have called about it and was told that i cannot exchange it for a new one because it is a known problem and i can either wait for LG to fix the issue or i can upgrade to a phone similar with a full discount but that phone with the discount is 279 bucks. what else can i do? i am seriously considering cancelling all my lines and moving to another carrier because i am paying for the insurance and nothing is getting done about it. !Jerico G: Thank you for contacting T-Mobile Live Chat Support my name is Jerico rep ID 1450971. I would be happy to assist you today! Aaron Kurth: k !Jerico G: I'm sorry to hear about that Aaron. !Jerico G: It seems that the possible resolutions has already been offered to you, I'm afraid that those are the only options left. It's either upgrade or exchange. Aaron Kurth: i was told i cannot exchange due to the fact that if they send me the same phone im just going to have the same problem !Jerico G: I see. Because it depends on the availability of the device that we can send to you, and it seems that there are no other available phones that we can send to you as a replacement I apologize. Aaron Kurth: my wife was told that and they gave her the option of receiving several different phones since hers is not available... why am i not getting the same treatment? Aaron Kurth: so basically im paying for service on phone that i cannot use with insurance that guarantees me a new phone if this one is faulty but im not getting a new phone because the problem is on all of the phones that i can have it replaced with. !Jerico G: Let me check this one further for you. Would you mind waiting within 3-5 minutes? Aaron Kurth: sure !Jerico G: Thank you. !Jerico G: Thank you for waiting. !Jerico G: Sorry for that. Aaron Kurth: k !Jerico G: I was looking for the memos here regarding your phone's issue but nothings says here about it. Can you tell me what is the main problem of the phone please? !Jerico G: It seems that you've spoke with someone from our Tech Support last time. Aaron Kurth: my phone will randomly black screen and i have to remove the battery to get it to turn back on... it will also freeze and i have to remove the battery to fix that one as well. it will also randomly partially reset and freeze at the loading screen !Jerico G: Okay. That's the line ending in 6782 right? Aaron Kurth: yes !Jerico G: Okay. I was actually wondering who told you that it's a known issue with your phone. Have you made any replacement with that same phone previously? Aaron Kurth: this is the 3rd g2x i have had... so i have had it replaced twice since i upgraded to it !Jerico G: And you were experiencing the same problems on all 3 the same devices right? Aaron Kurth: yes !Jerico G: Okay. I really apologize Aaron, the only option left for me here to do for you is handset exchange but again it will still be the same make and model only. I am not able to select any other devices aside from this one. I believe it has something to do with the device's availability in relation to your eligibility as well as our customer, but that is something I am not sure of on my end I'm sorry.

ya plan prices have gone up a bit but from what im seeing now is the competition between them is finally coming back so prices are coming down a little bit.
-
Gotta love being told by tmobile that i cant exchange my phone because the new one i get will just have the same problem because its a problem affecting all the G2X phones. So the options they give me are upgrade and the phone closest to the spec of my current one is $279 with the discount or wait for LG to fix it

Cookie European Legislation Since June 2012
fireurza replied to Super Max's topic in Website Discussion
The cookie quickly introduced legislation last week. You must work as a webmaster but accidentally heard of. It is therefore not surprising that many websites still insufficiently or not at all on this new law are prepared. How do you conduct a quick and practical solution to your site to meet the legislative cookie? In this article I will try to clarify what the law means and what you can do to your website so as to ensure that you comply with the law. Are there namely personalized ads on your site? These are ads which you addressed to some visitors an advertisement offering. Or use a website statistics like Google Analytics? In that case you should take measures to meet the cookie legislation. What is a 'tracking'cookie A magic cookie is a cookie or amount of data that a server to the browser with the intention that it is stored and at a subsequent visit back to the server is returned. This allows the server to identify and track what browser the user, or the web browser, in the past. For example, such a history is of interest for marketing purposes. Due to privacy concerns, the use of cookies, which are often in the eye of the Internet user withdraws controversial in these situations. The Cookie Legislation in brief The cookie legislation on June 5, 2012 entered. This legislation consists of two parts. It required every website owner firstly to users clearly and fully informed of the use of cookies on the site. In addition, it requires the website owner to opt-in system for placing cookies.Dat means that the websitebezoeler itself clearly has to give permission before a cookie on his / her computer may be placed. Cookie Statement in terms The quickest solution, an additional sentence in the privacy statement of the website, "by visiting this website, you consent to use tracking cookies. Comply with this unfortunately your solution does not meet the new legislation. The cookie legislation is intended precisely to prevent that through the general conditions are governed. After all, nobody reads that yet. Opt-in or opt-out In order to comply with the legislation cookie is an opt-out is not enough. You may use the visitor does not require that the cookies are if he / she does not reply. Instead, you may only tracking cookies so places like the customer explicitly permit it, or opt-in. Below are the steps to the opt-in legislation. Step 1: What are cookies, place your site Posted Image Most First you figure out which cookies to your website at the moment - unsolicited - places on the computer of the user. The easiest way is this to your web designer to ask, but you can also find out yourself. Depending on the browser you used to do as follows: Internet Explorer: Go right to the settings. Click on "Internet Options" and then under the tab general to "settings" When you then click on 'View Files' button you get a list of cookies to see. Here you can find the cookies that your site places. Firefox: Press the top left of Firefox. When in the dropdown on 'options' stand, you get there for a cup of 'option' to see. Once that last "option" is pressed, click on Privacy vervolgesn (logo above). If you go to "delete individual cookies', you get a list of cookies to see. Search for your site to see what cookies you place. Google Chrome: Go right to 'Settings'. Then the bottom of the page on "advanced settings". At the drop press' settings for content 'and then' Delete all cookies and site data. Above left you can then find your site. Step 2: Identify the cookies Now you have a list with the cookies on your computer, the next step is to examine their operation. You does not need permission for all cookies. 'Technical' cookies that promote usability, may simply be placed. Think of the cookies that remember login details or ensure that the basket remains filled when shopping online. For all other cookies (including those for Google Analytics), you need permission from the visitor. See how necessary, therefore, first the cookies you need permission. You can stand without some of these cookies. Step 3: Inform the visitor The cookie legislation consists of two parts. The permission and informing. So first, the visitor must inquire where the cookie is intended also in his / her own interest. After all, how clearly you communicate on the measure, the greater the chance that the visitor agrees. The most practical and logical to briefly and clearly to provide information when you ask for permission. Tip: "Cookies" is a term that many surfer says little. So try other - eenvoudie but clear - wording to explain what your goal is. Step 4: Ask permission For the cookies that the law requires it, you must now ask permission to the consumer. There is no single method how to do that. There, the law unfortunately not. The possibilities you have to ask permission are: Pop-up show Banner at the top of the site Toolbar below the browser toolbar places Upon registration: But that is only for sites where everything is behind the login Special page that is displayed at a first visit: This option is especially recommended if you refuse cookies visitors access to the site to deny You must decide if the site owner, in consultation with your web designer, determine the best solution. Make at least that the option you choose, tempts many users as possible to agree. Clear information is key. Ð Joomla there are several standard plug-ins to download. A free plugin EU e-Privacy Directive. This plugin converts a text that you're in the ini file can adjust over the content of your site. When the visitor once agreement has given the message anymore. On the JED, you can download the plugin from this link. Not everyone has good experiences with this plugin. So test this out first before you have this plugin on a production site applies. Turn off all cookies (Doc at Joomla.org) in the Joomla-docs is an article on how to disable all cookies for the website visitor. This manual adjustment is possible to turn off all cookies. Tracking functionality may therefore not more. Step 5: Adjust the privacy statement Do not forget to adjust the privacy statement. It must be at least the following information about cookies are: What cookies are placed on the computer (both with and without permission) What information each cookie captures What is the purpose of the relevant cookie and whether the information collected to third parties is provided How long a cookie remains on your computer Step 6: Third-party cookies Also make sure that third party cookies from your website. Think of ad networks. The information and consent in principle duty lies with the person who places the cookie. Yet it is wise to make clear agreements about to confusion and debate about the responsibility to prevent. Shamu The saga continues............ As some recall my PC shuts down leaving only the fans running and if something had been said in game voice it kept repeating itself. I would have to hard power it off and restart. Lately it has not been crashing as often and I thought System Restore helped. Well, tonight it shut off and I mean SHUT OFF, everything including the fans this time and will not restart. I pulled the power cord for about 10 min to no avail. But I take this as a good sign because I suspect the culprit has revealed itself. I think it is the power supply as the root cause of all my problems. I will get a new power supply tomorrow but do not know if I have enough smarts to install one. If not my son will do it for me next week. I am rather confident that the power supply has been the cause of my unusual issues, at least I sure hope so. every time ive had that loop problems ive had a faulty RAM stick or a program compatability issue
