Hey Twinkie, always good to have a lace to vent, this is as good as any. I can only hope your luck makes a turnaround and you start mending. It is beyond my capacity to fully understand or appreciate what you have gone through.

All of us need to take time out from the backyard cookouts, the recreational activities and family gatherings to take a moment to thank the Veterans, living and dead, who have preserved our way of life so that these activities may be enjoyed.

BMD, I already know I could not dare to look at the link. No more than I am able to watch those shelter commercials you see on TV, they tear me up. I can look at an injured adult and deal with it in an unemotional way. An animal I can't. Odd for someone who used to hunt and still supports wildlife game management. It may be of interest to know I consider myself to be a charitable person, something I learned from my wife. But I do not support people charities with two exceptions, the Make a Wish Foundation and The Sierra Club, other than that all my support goes to animal welfare. And yes, but not one of my favorites, even PETA.

I especially like it because it addresses our wounded veterans who I do not feel receive fair compensation from our government. Look how many social service freebees we have for undeserving welfare participants. And then look at the wounded vets and how they have to scratch for benefits after being wounded in service to our country. Just is not fair or equitable.

I recently bought some revolvers but posted them under Pistols in the Hunting/Fishing forum.

Magazine system same as the P 90. This is an AR 57, short barrel (SBR Short Barrel Rifle), registered as a pistol because of barrel length. Have not even shot the darn thing yet and I've had it well over a year. Spent shell casings eject from where a AR 15 magazine would normally go. You can put in a AR magazine that has the guts removed to collect and hold the spent casings.

Does anyone do any real market plays? Along with income based mutual funds I own AMAT, GE, TOT, TEVA , XRX and HARL. HARL has been an employee option through the bank where my wife worked and has moved nicely as of late, I have sold off a significant amount of privately held shares. Still have many in a 401 but the stock does pay a 5% dividend....... not bad at all. One of the best dividend paying stocks out there. The drawback is extremely low volume in shares traded. The one possible consolation if the price drops below the offering price is that mostly big players will get hurt. Sometimes very hard for the average Joe to get in at the offering price with an IPO. Institutions and big money get first shot.

Personally I expect an even bigger drop in share pricing.

BTW, even my family is not perfect. I was at a ball game with my grandsons on Sunday and had to remind them to remove their hats for the National Anthem. They are lucky I did not knock them off of their heads

Thought of this since today I am inclined to agree: Who is the boss When the body was first made, all the parts wanted to be the boss. The brain said, "since I control everything and do all the thinking, I should be the boss." The feet said, "since I carry man where he wants to go and get him in position to do what the brain wants, then I should be the boss." The hands said, "since I must do all the work and earn all the money to keep the rest of you going, I should be the boss." And so it went with the eyes, the heart, the lungs, and all the other parts of the body, each giving the reason why they should be the boss. Finally, the asshole spoke up and said it was going to be the boss. All the other parts laughed and laughed at the idea of the asshole being the boss. The asshole got so angry that he blocked himself off and refused to function. Soon the brain was feverish and could barely think, the feet felt like lead weights and was almost too weak to drag the body anywhere, the eyes grew bleary, and the hands hung useless at the sides. All pleaded with the brain to let the asshole be declared the boss. And so it happened; all the other parts did all the work and the asshole just bossed and passed out a lot of crap. THE MORAL: You don't have to be a brain to be a boss, just an old asshole. Alternate moral: No matter how well things are going, it can all be shut down by a single asshole.
