DJ, are you a politician? You are making a valiant attempt to misconstrue and distort my comments. You are the one playing the race card, not me. For me race never was an issue. Much was about illegal immigration which is a significant LEGAL issue especially along our southern border with Mexico. It is a constant national newsworthy topic without a hint of racism. It is also a major topic in our presidential elections. It's a legal issue nothing more, nothing less and certainly not driven by race. I can understand the perception of racial bias because the dynamic political issue of the moment is with Mexico, a Spanish speaking nation. But do not cover me with your blanket observation or accusation of racial bias. It is unfair and a comment made out of ignorance. Immigrants cover a broad spectrum of people, my parents being Swedish were immigrants. My issue is with illegal immigrants regardless of race, creed or nationality. Simply illegal immigrants. Do not twist or make it more than it is. It borders on unethical to turn a legal position into racial bias. Do not presume that illegal immigration means racial bias, it simply is not so. None of my commentary has been racial in any context, please do not try and manipulate it so that persons who do not follow the entire thread do not get the complete context of the posts.

Also to be considered are the Mexican drug cartels who actually seem to be doing a good job of killing each other in the process.

With both of us being from different countries and different laws it would be difficult to understand each others moral and legal issues with immigrants. I want to note I said "if". I also noted that if the illegal immigrants had proven to be productive members of our society I would like to their return fast tracked legally. Uh-oh, this topic is getting testy. Have to admit I admire the passion of each teams fans that have driven this post to a "HOT" topic. But for the life of me I still cannot understand the passion for a game that to me looks so boring. One thing I do understand and I think helps the sport is that for parents and children it is not a sport that demands a lot of money to play or that you be of some immense physical stature to be good at the game. Throw a ball on the ground and you can have a game. I will continue to watch sporadically and maybe at some time I will learn to appreciate the nuances of the game. For know the best education I have received is how to act and fool the referee.

As a PA resident and a long admirer of the Penn State football program I am thoroughly disgusted with all of the previous administrators including lily white Joe Pa. No one can justify the actions of Penn State administration and coaches. More than Sandusky need to go on trial. If the facts stated so far are true, in the Sandusky trial, Penn State including Joe Pa are a disgrace. Their inaction and in some instances, complicity, allowed this pervert to abuse so many kids. So which is more important for Europeans to win, the European Cup or the World Cup? Where I worked I knew two Portuguese who in their younger days played for Porto, one of the top Portuguese soccer teams. Their opinion was that the "Europa" Cup meant more to their country than the World Cup. They also said it was much better soccer because their are fewer teams where the World Cup has many more teams playing, some of them not world class. Until then I had thought the World Cup was the pinnacle of soccer. After talking to them many times I had my doubts.
