I know it's a ways out yet (November) but I didn't see any posts on this yet. And yes I know it's Treyarch that brought us lackluster rendition COD World at War or better known as COD 5, BUT they kind of got jammed into that log ride. Now they have some operating rights they didn't have before and some latitude to take over this thing, or at least steer it towards something resembling COD of old.
Black Ops is going to have dedicated servers, sports a little nicer finish than MW2 and has vehicles (choppers). I don't know if the vehicles make it to the multiplayer version but I'm sure the option will be there. So what's everyones thoughts on this new game? Think you might give it a shot? For me it comes at a good time where MW1 is getting a little done, and BC2 just isn't a long term game like the COD series has been. Then of course there is MOHAA 2 or WeverTF they are calling it these days. Which I cut my teeth on in WWII genre games and probably was one of the funnest games I've ever played, even COD2.
Anyway, just trying to get a feel from everyone else what they think the new games are going to do and if you plan on making a change or at least purchasing. I'm totally in with anything that has dedicated servers - mostly because non-dedicated or "group" joining games like L4D & 2, MW2, and others have destroyed the community feel. Everyone acts likea complete ASS and it's creating a monster, an anti-social monster that I think will end up hurting the online community. But I guess that could be blamed on consoles - but you would think that even then you could create a console server where the same people were around and people by and large don't act like assholes and get to know one another. That's a whole nother topic though- so Black Ops?
