The targets are the big gaming services. I recently had to deal with servers which were used for DNS Reflection / Amplification Attacks against a big online gaming site. The iwmp3 error has nothing to do with malware activity. IMO the only way to get infected is downloading a mod or map from a compromised redirect server. But I am not sure.

Mit HLSW oder über den Serverbrowser im Spiel? Hast du mal eine andere Mod ausprobiert? Den Zombieserver z.B.? Hast du die Mod(s) irgendwann schon einmal gesichert und wieder verwendet? Verschiene einfach mal die Mod(s), starte das Spiel und lad sie neu. ---- Does the menu appear immediately after startup? How do you connect to the server? HLSW or do you use the server browser? Did you try another mod? The zombie server f.e? Did you ever back up your mods and profile and used it again with another installation? Move the mods to a different folder and re-download them. Sorry für die vielen Fragen, aber ich will, dass du wieder stressfrei zocken kannst. Und dann schieß ich dir in den Hintern

I have installed the game last year in October or November (3 gig update), played the campaign and stopped playing. In February I started to play again and got 8GB of updates within one week. (2x4). @@iEvil Sorry, but Origin IS crap. I baught the Premium upgrade last month. 6 hours for all addons! Each download started with 1,5 MByte (16 Mbit) and went down to 35-40KByte after ~90%. I have paused the DLs and performed a speed test. Result: 16Mbit. So it was Origin. I had the same problem with the previous updates too.

As far as I understand: nothing happens. He has to wait up to 20 minutes until the game starts. Plus: he needs a whole clip for one kill. @@cpl-chPetz Auf Deiner Tastatur ist eine Taste (Druck oder Print Screen), mit der kannst du einen Screenshot machen. Wenn du einen Steam Account hast, kannst du dort auch eine Verknüpfung erstellen und das Spiel über den Steam Client starten. Dann kannst du mit F12 einen Screenshot machen. Hab ich das richtig verstanden, dass da überhaupt nichts passiert und du ganz normal auf dem Desktop bleibst, wenn du das Spiel startest?

Naja, bei mir läuft CoD 5 auch ohne Probleme unter Windows 7. Daran wird es nicht liegen. Tu @@Labob mal den gefallen und mach einen Screenshot, wenn das spiel hängt ------------------------ I have no probs with CoD 5 and Windows 7. I think this is not the reason. Do @@Labob a favor and take a screenshot when you get stuck.

If you are using Firefox, you can do some things to lock it. It is a bit tricky, but it works. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locking_preferences There is also a suite to do this. And no matter if you have 3 computers: Create a new user on all of them and give them user or guest permissions and you kids can not install all of the crap they found in the www. As a user they can install some things, as a guest the can install nothing.

Kleine Erdkunde-Nachhilfe, Danke Ich meinte, ob du mal probiert hast, die Videos von CoD 5 zu löschen. Bei manch einem soll das geholfen haben. Wie ich geschrieben habe. Geh in den CoD5 Ordner, dann "main" und ändere "video" zu "video_old". Anschließend erstellst du einen neuen Ordner "video". Das geht schneller ans löschen und ggf wiederherstellen

DIe meisten Eingträge zu diesem Thema finden sich für Black Ops 2 und Modern Warfare Wenn du die Steam-Version hast, könntest Du Steam mal die Game Files reparieren/aufräumen lassen. Hast du das mit den Videos schon ausprobiert?
