LOL they are illegal all over I know, but sharing links to sites with copyright protected material too. Not saying that the files sharing tools are illegal as long as you download legal content like free music, programs etc. But this post is a discussion about sources for illegal content like movies. That's what I mean.

I started using Ubuntu with 8.04 and Gnome. I use KDE until Cannonical decided to use Unity. At work my primary System is a Kubuntu with Virtual Box for Windows 7 (bah). My PC at home is set up for dual boot with Kubuntu as primary system. Oh and a notebook with Ubuntu and XFCE. This is more efficient on the old machine xD

A few months ago I played Portal (not the ported version) on a Linux machine using Wine. I worked very well. With one exception: the X server f*cked me when I tried to run the game in full screen mode. Screen resolution 2.560x2048 (2 19" displays, 4:3). This wasn't funny

Sniping is a good alternation to the other "stressful" games like Ace or Freezetag. It's a little bit like chess. But back to topic...

Why should Microsoft support other file systems like ext, reiser etc? This FS are effective! I never found any effective thing in Windows or other Microsoft products. Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Sharepoint... CRAP! And then this: *click*click*click* Next, next, complete. Doesn't work? Retry, reboot reinstall. BAH! I do the most things on a linux desktop or server MUCH faster than on a Windows system. Although i only use the command line. I use Kubuntu at work and my teamleader is pissed about it because i need other hardware specs to use a Virtual Box with win 7 to be able to use the Exchange functions, Excel and Active Directory administration tools. Too expensive... *argh*. Thank god that more and more developers notice that Linux gets more and more popular and they convert their tools to Linux systems too. BTW: It's unbelieveable that Windows is build around a *NIX kernel. BTW2: did you solve your problem?

@@WiZiD Think about the question: what is MySQL. MySQL is not part of Windows. I know several tools which are using MySQL but not for typical home use. Maybe a media database tool. And CoD doesn't need a database. @@Damage_inc Are you sure that it was MySQL and not MS SQL or just SQL? Windows 7 has a SQL service running. Why ever...
