does linux have a gui..thought it was command line os? ...never used it lol..still prefer windows..more universal
Yes. There are a may different implementations. The most popupuar are Gnome, KDE and XFCE. All of them are highly customizeable in their behavior. (effects, design etc) and they are much more innovative than Microsoft's Aero. All the things MS put into Aero were implemented much earlier in KDE or Gnome. Shaking Windows to minimize all windows, transparent windows, desktop slideshow as some examples. You can nearly use as much desktops as you want and switch between them (i have six active). Windows needs addons for such features..

Valve ported Steam, Half-Life, Counter Strike Source and Team Fortress to linux - well done. There is no difference between the Windows and the Linux Version. I hope other developers will go the same way too. Microsoft also recognized that Linux is is going to be more popular on Desktops - they will bring MS Office to Linux. I think the next version will run with Ubuntu, SuSE etc.
