  1. I think the best location for this is in the appropriate game forum as a topic, which could be (based on Senior Admin approval) be turned into a pinned topic, which would sit at the top of each forum.
  2. I have the ability to change both. However if I was to change the board statistics to "Newest Registered User" it wouldn't correspond to other areas. Example, the People Online block shows members and guests. Registered Users fall under the category of members, and guest are people who are viewing the site but not logged in. I have just checked the Terms and Conditions (which you can see by signing out, and clicking create account, and hitting the terms and conditions link), and it doesn't make note of this. TBH this might be the most appropriate place to state "that by creating an account makes you a registered user, not a clan member, which is by admin invite only". However changing the terms and conditions, would have to be put past the Senior Admin Team, where any changes would be given to me verbatum, to add to this location.
  3. No because the purpose is to bump the topic to read not who bumped it.
  4. Ruthless can you explain inmore detail. I don't understand your comment. I see the 'MEMBERS' link at the top that when you click you see every member of XI's website. I would like to see >XI< members and administrators only without everybody that has ever registered on the website. Hi Ruthle$$, The easiest way is to go to the block down the right hand side of the homepage called member groups. Not only does this show the various groups and the associated colours, if you click on one it takes you to the member page, but applies a filter to only show the members within that group. Also as you are Newton this site. Do a forum search for, "Website Top Tips". This is a topic I created with some nice features. I add to it every so often. Regards, Cavey
  5. Hi Boomer, You have two options available to you. If you like the dark theme, try simply changing the background, by clicking on the paint bucket near the top right of the website. If you want your own background added please send it to me and I'll put it up (though everyone can use it, and it needs to be at 1920 x 1200). If you don't like that I recently added a new theme called Elegant. To change to this simply go to the bottom left of the website and click on change theme and select it there. This was specifically created for those having trouble withe dark theme. Regards, Cavey

  7. The function is available, however that is a decision for the Seniors to make. If you have strong feelings on this, I suggest you pm Rugger. Though not quite sure what you mean by where the post is going?
  8. Just the Downloader.
  9. Tbh honest I had the same issue once with xCaliber. I was 3 feet behind and put a clip and a half into his back, he turned round and bang I'm dead. This is what I mean that it does happen once in a while. Will try and have a game soon and give it another try to see if it was a one off.
  10. Your post is fine. Though I think you meant Counter Strike . We did have a download mirror at one point as part of the XI Downloader. It's presently undergoing a refurb by Ph4nt0m. Though I'm not sure about the future of the mirror.
  11. Wow, I work out of Christchurch, and travel to some of our offices in Newport and Ryde every so often. Nice to see you on the forums
  12. I remember that second one. I also get that once every so often. To be hoest I think I turned and got a headshot by luck. Though on the whole I find BF3 to be the best balanced game out when it comes to ping.
  13. What the ping kicker? We would be all f**ked over here lol That's a useful link for ANYONE across the world to bookmark if they run into bf3 issues. Nice 1
  14. The thing is it isn't just about ping. I don't have trouble killing in BF3 even with a ping of 125+. However I do have a problem in the COD4 new mw2 ftag servers, even with the same ping, and is why I don't play them any longer. The reason is this. We purchase game servers. These are different to dedicated server (which are soley for the purchaser, and very expensive), in that they are have many clans servers running off the same physical hardware. When we purchase a game server we don't get to choose which physical server from the supplier. This would be nice, as we would simply go for the physical server that had either no-one else or few game servers running on it. That way we would get much more processing power to render our game server. Now all companies have a rough physical server spec for each game (cod4, cod5, bf3, etc), and the number of game servers they can run off each physical server. These are naturally based on the standard game when it first came out, NOT on heavily modded, more resource intensive game servers (like our new cod4 mw2 servers). The only thing Rugger can do (and has done many times) is contact the supplier, and ask if our laggy game server can be put onto another physical server. This is in the hope that this other server has less game servers (and hopefully not heavily modded game servers) running on it. This will improve performance, and is why you sometimes get told the IP Address has changed. The reason why the BF3 game servers don't lag with the same ping, is because the game isn't modded, and the suppliers have the correct spec hardware to run the game. If BF3 was opened up to modding like the cod series, we would over time probably see the same problem. Now sure if I'm up against say... xCaliber (who has the bf3 server under his desk with that 20 ping!!!), naturally he has that slight advantage in killing me, but with my ping at 125, that is a reaction time advantage of about 100milli seconds, which isn't much. P.S. I have seen many low pingers complain of lag on the mw2 ftag servers, so ping can't be the reason, but server performance. In the ideal world, we would purchase several high spec dedicated game servers to only run our game servers. However they are so expensive that the clan wouldn't be able to afford them. Also the advantage of game servers, is that if one goes down, not all the others go down, which would be the case if a dedicate server needed mainenance, etc.
  15. TBH yes... As the majority of players are from US/Canada. As SOB stated, it's been tried out before without success for this very reason. If I was in the US, why would I go onto probably the exact same modded server in the UK when I have a low ping one near me in the US. You can understand why they wouldn't play on it. As a result, people always tend to play on the servers that have more activity. That fact has been proven time and time again. Look at when we brought out 2 servers with the same mod, because one got full all the time. The second rarely got used, as people decided to wait for the first one to give up a free slot, rather than sit on an empty server. Same where people ask for a knife only server. Lots of people wanted it, but the fact was most people still played on Ftag servers (cod4 I'm thinking of here), and as a result, those who did start to play ont he knife only server got bored due to lack of players, and went back to the ftag servers. It's only been that pattern, and always will be. I think the lag issue has got worse over the last couple of years, because the mods have got more complicated. Think about it. The servers have remained where they are, so distance can't be a factor. Sure some server have increased in the number of players, but again I remember having some of the same size back then, and they are now becoming laggy. The game was originally designed (again cod4 example) for normal weapons, nades, c4, etc. Now it has Gas, mini choppers, mini cars, you name it. The server now has to render all of that, which is probably causing the lag. Even the original ftag servers didn't have the lag issue people talk about today. I guess the only way to determine if I'm correct is setup a standard cod4 server at the same host on the same spec server as one of these mega modded servers. If the server gets as full, and doesn't lag, then you have your answer.
  16. She just needs to teach her dad how to play
  17. Please can you use the Classifieds system not this forum. Thx
  18. Yeh have a great day buddy
  19. Don't worry I have plans for more dark ones as well
  20. Your welcome Gents. I'm working on another, which will be lighter aswell (and easy to read) with only a small amount of transparency. Though it will offer the background changer as with Blood. I hope to have it completed by the end of the weekend.
  21. I should be able to. Though I would require Phantom to add his javascript button to change it back. I will leave in fixed at present, and when he's around I'll have a word.
  22. The header is fixed! Do you mean float, so that the menu is always available at the top even when you scroll down? Remember you do have the arrow at the bottom middle that will take to immediately to the top of the page.
  23. Warchild I believe the Medals (Awards) system takes care of this. You can give an award to another clan member, and write some text as to why you have given the medal. There are plenty of non gaming medals. Take a look under the more tab at the top, then awards. If you come up with a new medal, feel free to PM Rockape who will review the idea, and potentially create it. Again in that same location you can click "view awarded" and see who has a particular medal. So if you are after someone who is good with graphics/signatures, then look at who has been awarded that Graphics medal, and so on. Also if you like a post that someone has writen, you can click the "Like This" next to that post. It will add to their green likes tally (hover over your name, and you have 3 already).
