I prefer shotguns for close range but I still know a thing or two about the SMGs. I'd love to learn more.

Preface: SMGs are loud without silencers but a ton of fun.

MP5k:

Pros: The M9 uses the same ammo, so you can get extra bullets for your MP5. Your class does change itself to the pistol you see above, so switch back to M9 often. 

Cons: Recoil

Preferred use: Silencer with Armor Piercing or Red Dot Sight with Double Tap (going back to base Call of Duty 4).

G18c Full Auto:

Pros: Use the Glock pistol for extra ammo. Fast reload.

Cons: recoil.

Preferred use: Silencer with Armor Piercing.

Mini-Uzi:

Pros: More rounds. Rate of fire. Burst Fire with Armor Piercing at range. Good at hip firing.

Cons: Recoil.

Preferred Use: Silencer with Armor Piercing. Great at burst firing. Good with Double Tap for hip firing.

AK74U:

Pros: Buzzsaw. Sheer Fun. Power.

Cons: Neutered by a silencer. Recoil. Ammo consumption.

Preferred use: iron sights with Armor Piercing or Double Tap.

P90:

Pros: So good it is better than some Assault Rifles. More rounds. Great hip firing or long range. No significant damage fall off.

Cons: Nothing really.

Preferred use: Silencer, Armor Piercing. Good at long range. Double Tap is fun too. 

MP5 Special:

Pros: Additional attachments. Reload speed.

Cons: I think the MP5k is better. No Inventory.

Toss some poison on that P90 and it is a beast!! LOVE my p90!!!

I think you can sprint further with the P90 too. I'm not sure if you use Combat Medic but it seems like it when you're in our spawn so often!
