I bought the Accelero Extreme 5870 for my HD5870 a few months back. The issue I had was that the thermal sticky tape on the RAM sinks was crappy...basically, it wouldn't stick. On top of that, the Extreme 5870 was known to have very good cooling for the GPU, but POOR cooling for the VRMs...so I never bothered putting it on... My question...how are the VRM temps on your cards? Nice setup really... EDIT: I'm EYEing the launch of the HD6990 on March 8th...and the GTX590 on the 15th... might be interesting! I'll have to grab a better monitor, as I'm still running 1680 X 1050... I might go Crossfire 6950s, depending of the price of the 6990...time will tell. The new dual-GPU cards will hopefully cause price drops on HD6950s HD6970s, GTX570 and GTX580s... Hopefully, performance numbers for AMD BULLDOZER will come out soon too!!! Good thing my upgrade money isn't quite there yet... Awards

I guess they had cheaped out on the VRM sink. That's why I didn't install it...good thing I paid $49 only for it! For the glue thing...I bought thermal Adhesive, (thermal epoxy)...it's good, but irreversible...as my card is XFX and has a lifetime warranty, I need to be able to take the sinks off, put the original heatsink/fan combo to RMA if it fails down the road...
