She is actually doing much better. The doctor had her put on seizure meds, which help reduce severity of the dementia fugue states. She has also started eating again. She is still very underweight and malnourished, but she is getting better. She called me a bit ago and was able to have a fairly normal conversation. She knew who I was and remembered events. Then she said she couldn't hear me but still answered every question so I'm not sure she understood what "hear" meant. She keeps calling people but can't put together who or why so even though this was weird, it was good. I can't imagine anything worse than losing one's mind. I may not be young, thin, rich or beautiful, but I will always be clever. If I lost that It would be devastating. My sister must feel the same way, even if she's a "normal".
