Maybe it could be your Firewall or your Router (ports). On CoD4 i have had it too, after i actualy my Router-settings, i would be able to make a Online-profil. If you can't, you have to create one. C:\Users\login name\AppData\local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles If u have legit cd key try this. Go into SP, and enter ur CD key. Some players have solved online probs that way. When trying to create a profile for the first time, there is a slight chance the OS will not auto-prompt you to unblock CoDWaW.exe and CoDWaWmp.exe from the firewall block list. You will know this is the case because every time you try to create a name, it will fail, giving you the message that you need to create a name. If your computer prompts you, obviously you want to click “Unblock”. If it doesn’t prompt you, simply go into your Control Panel and choose Windows Firewall. On the left side, click “Allow a Program Through Windows Firewall.” If the game’s exes are not already in the list you are going to have to manually Add them. Click “Add” and locate your game’s exes in the directory that you installed the game to. Don’t forget to add both the Single Player and Multiplayer exes.
