You can build you own for lots less. There are plans available on the internet and several places make the parts. Just takes some carpentry skills as well as knowing how to wire up the controls. The controls themselves are typically wired up to a disassembled keyboard and correspond to particular keypresses. Getting the games is another matter of course because even if you do have mame they are technically not legal to have unless you have the original circuit boards they came on.

 

But yea this would be a great thing to have in a bachelor pad or mancave.
