This card draws about half of what your old card does. I would however get a PS as soon as possible. It is possible THAT low power is currently causing some of your problems. You can't go wrong with upgrading PS first, then vid. Awards

I'd recommend a dual rail 12watt that pushes a MINIMUM of 25 amps. Make sure you get proper ventilation. I had this same issue when I was ready to play COD4 and 5. Bought the power supply and now I can max out all the graphic settings and play both (and I only have a Nvidia 7800GT).
