I attributed it to Windows rather than the game. I had to restart the machine but, as a precaution, cleared out all the cache, temp files etc with a utility before restarting CoD WaW. Just a guess I second that. because after the game comes out people make larger more intensive maps, the default settings somewhere should be adjusted in the config file, im just not familiar with the WaW game files.
