Hi

for about 1y I have too low volume of microphone in COD4. I have never had such a problem before.

win 11, ryzen 9 5950x, radeon rx 6900xt, asus tuf gaming x570 plus.

Updated everything …firmware, windows, uninstall/reinstall audio drivers

Mics : Samson mic, Logitech cam mic and Bose QuietComfort 35. Originally just had Logitech cam mic for in game audio, it was always fine. About year ago maybe since win11 audio imput too low. Manually increasing mic volume to 100%

Trying to use equalizer APO  (Equalizer APO download | SourceForge.net) to boost pre-amp gain for mic.

Open to suggestions, did anybody had similar problem?

Regards,

Jerry

Have you checked the actual audio input levels in your control panel? Sometimes they get fucky and the levels don't match the volume of the actual volume setting.Screenshot(10).thumb.png.8da51ac79f5108adba669a48e2a7f74b.png

Thanks, I go to the audio settings ... system>sound. Windows like to "adjust" this level. Also changing default device. But setting here at 100% does not guarantee  good audio in game ...(never have this problem before...to need to to go to settings)

2 usb wired mic are problematic. Only Bluetooth Bose actually somehow works. Even than fervent change of mic level in sound setting is often  needed..
