The main reason and really the only reason I do not go to the knife server is because it is way too slow for the style I am use to on the ace mod. Evool I am glad you posted this. I know several peeps would go there to sharpen and learn their skills but its way to slow. I don't know if it is posiblle to do this but I would visit it much more if it is possible.

I am one that "HATES" campers with a passion, BUT Mick everybody does it at some point or other. I use to get all pissed off and go into a rant and rage until I realized the only person being bothered by my raging was me. Lately when I have had enough and depending how many are playing I will tell them all if they don't come out and play I am leaving the server. As I am the best source for kills they usually start playing, but if they don't I leave.

Wild my heart goes out to you. I can relate to the stress you are going thru as I have just lost my home and everything. I want to tell you somethings that may help you and you precious wife I was in the process of loosing everything I was suffering from depression and was in dire need of help. Thank God I was able to recognize that I did because I was thinking about ending it all myself. ZAfter I received the help I needed I realized some things. First all the things I was stressing about loosing were just"things", not worth all the stress and anguish they were causing in my life. You have a right to be angry and upset with the insurance company, but there are many many more worse things that an happen. Things can, and are replaced everyday. It is not a disgrace upon you or your wife when an unscrupulous business ruins what you have worked long and hard for. I was married for 28 yrs and when she left one day my world came crashing to the ground. I tried so hard to get companies to work with me but they refused and now I am divorced and bankrupt and alone as both of my kids who were living with me have moved out on their own. My health deteriorated so I was forced to quit my job and I have begin the long road back by going to school to get an education. My point in telling you all this is Bro. while your looking at a long dark tunnel now, you will come out the other side more than a conqueror. My prayers are for you!

I want to just throw something out there for a possibility that we make a memorial wall for all the soldiers that we know that died in the line of duty so that we as >XI< members still have this privilege to play this great game. I also think it would be cool to honor the ones still serving where every month we post a special honor to one of them and have it a recurring only with some one new, on the website too. I don't know how you all feel about this or if it is even feasible but its worth a shot.

ph4nt0m I agree with Greywolf that yes, it is just a game and yes, we do do this thing we do to get away from the every day stresses of life, but that said, everybody still have a certain amount of competetiveness in them lets face it nobody plays to lose, On that basis it's difficult to name certain players that dominate or are better or worse than others, we do have some fantastic players here at XI that not only play well, but also encourage others to up there game to try to beat them on the odd occasion, my own personal game has improved tenfold over the last few years but I put that down to the peers that I play against, We are only as good as the peers that we measure ourselves against. This should be posted as as a permanent quote on the front page some where to remind us all we are only what we are because of all the other players we play against.

BTW Phantom you are the bar that I measure myself by!

I see some didn't comprehend my purpose for making this post to start with. It has nothing to do with how we view ourselves, but the respect we give to our fellow gamers. The question isn't am I the best but who do I think is the best among my peers,. It wasn't for anything but an conversation piece and furthermore I have always promoted fun and laughter on any server I have ever been on. My point is was and still is medals don't make you the best out there. I wanted to see what players others considered the best in their eyes to give each of them a pat on the back and say good job. I could absolutely care less if I win any maps but I do play only for the fun and fellowship with my friends! If you don't believe me just take a look at mt k2d ratio! I know most players do not want or need any recognition but it still is a very good way to llet them know we notice!

Most every time I get on the COD4 ACE MOD someone is flipping me shit. I believe that most of us encounter that. Thats a major part of what makes this game so attractive to all of us Idiots. One player makes a statement that he/she are going to make another player pay for something they did. Sometimes they do make them pay and most times they don't. This brings to mind a few questions about each of us as players. We all like to think we throw down with the best. The thing is in a tourney only one man wins. Does that mean they are the best player of the tourney? Where I am coming from with this is, well let me use myself for am example. I make my living using a knife on the server, and I lead the leader board with by far the most knife kills. I do not say that as a braggart but with humility because I know several players that are much better with the knife than I am. Just because I own a medal does not mean in anyway I am the best in my trade. Now lets say whomever wins the computer that is up for grabs, will that make them the best player of the tourney? Maybe, but we may never really know that answer. So fore the time being we all love to put our two cents in. So tell me who you think is the best player is and most importantly is have the facts to back up your case! So with out further delay I leave this in you Idiots hands!

SgtHarryWeezer I don't know why couples marry these days, never mind the tax advantage. I have two daughters; one has divorced twice and the other is in the process (my wife and I have been married 40 years.) It's a different time, marriage has lost respect as an institution and it seems couples are better off dispensing with the ceremony and just shacking up. I agree Harry and you know what the funny thing is I joined a dating sight just for the hell of and I am simply amazed how many women have hit me up on there. One thing most all of them say they don't want any games , right? Well when you start talking to them all they do is play games. Another thing I have been hit up by many married women who want a just for sex relationship and you must keep it quiet. I have come to think that we as men have gotten so in tune with the provide for our own that we have neglected the other side of a relationship: the personal touch that women need from us! BTW I have received over 2000 messages from women just in the Seattle area alone, in less than 6 months!

Shadow believe when I say I for one do understand about how things in and around your life sometimes just falls apart at your feet. I can also tell you that mine has began to start looking very rosy as things are working very well for me at the moment! Anyone who has played with me knows I love to play this game. I just play it a different way. Now I am a fairly good player when I decide to have a strategy where I sneak around and get in strategic locations on anygiven map, but I just do not get much enjoyment out of shooting anyone when they walk by. I try it every once in a while just to see if maybe I found what I don't have, fun playing that style. I like to be the crazy raging idiot on the map they everyone else has to account for, or they just may loose their family jewels. I have been accused of being a hack, and after a friendly reminder to the accuser, that they should look at my kill to death ratio, they decided they had reacted in haste. I have been knifed myself by beginners and yes it is a little embarrassing but it happens to the best of players. In my mind the style I choose is probably the toughest of any, with the exception of the snipers, on the run and gun servers. I run head first into gun fire and many times die doing such, but then many times I get the knife kill. That's when I hear the term "bull shit". I just smile and sometimes I say, "Thank you!." Most of the time the pace of the game is so fast I don't have time to respond at all. I am just having fun. Now having said all that here is what I want you all to know and understand. There are those of us that play this game with severe handicaps. Most of the players with disabilities will never give you a clue as to their limitations but I know several players whom have as severe if not worse than mine. I can notn speak for them, but I know how tough it is for me to play the way I do and still play. I have carpul tunnel syndrome. Most days I do pretty good unless I over do, although there are days when I can hardly push the keys on the keyboard. I find it interesting when other plkayers getr a special thrill out of cutting me! They don't know that I am basically struggling just to play this game I love and to be with a community of friends I have made a lot of friends in. I here derogatory remarks made about another player all the time, that has some real obstacles to over come just as many others do, in this players case they play their style simply because they can not play the run and gun any other way. Now I must admit people, there was a time I was saying the same things, then one night he and I talked when no body else was on the server. He only told me just a little of his challenges but I have a special gift of empathy and i knew what the rest of the story was. Later he confirmed it to me. I since have a great respect for my friend. So people and friends just remember that not everything is as it seems. One more thing, I did not write this to look for any sympathy but just so you might understand the world, as well as the gaming world, has many various type of players and thank God because it it didn't and we all played the same way, it would be boring. The next time you see me running around like a mad man just say, "Thank God he fan at least run on this game."
