My dad used to cut wild cherry and black walnut on our farm in Ohio into 2 ft long sections, dip the ends of the logs in wax and just store them for years until they cured. Just about any wood can crack if it dries too quickly and the wax prevented too much moisture from escaping too quickly. He also used to make decoys from wild chestnut trees that died of blight around the turn of the century, but some of the wood was still usable after 60 years laying on the forest floor. Really hard stuff.

Really? I would think just the opposite. Hardwood usually gets harder after it seasons for a couple years. I used to make fence posts out of white oak branches that were good for at least 10 years. Locust makes the best posts, 20 years minimum.

It probably won't have a huge impact on your game play unless you're using really slow DSL and going to cable or fiber optic. Regardless of how many MPS you have, you are limited by the distance and route from your location to the game server. I went from 5 to 50 mps last year and my ping didn't change at all.

A cop was recorded beating a woman, and as usual the peanut gallery has come up with their own conclusions about what happend and what should be done to the cop before any facts are known. Guess what? It doesn't have a fucking thing to do with politics. For those of you who believe that the FOX network is responsible for all of the evil in the world because your news of choice (Comedy Central) says so, all other news outlets are completely unbiased, and you feel the need to stroke each other off by posting about who's political ideas are more fucked up, go and start a new subject in the political forum and keep this crap off of the general forums.

Make sure you have all of the facts straight before kicking some random guys ass that the boys point out. Little boys have a way of making things up to cover their own asses when they think they're going to get into trouble for doing something wrong. I made up some real doozies at that age. But, if what they're saying happens to be true then somebody has a real problem.

LOC that wasn't an insult directed toward Canadian news, it was a simple observation toward all news outlets in general around the world. They no longer just report on news worthy events but rather they try to "create" the news before having all of the facts. It's all about sensationalizing the headlines to get more viewers and increase ratings. Now, is there something about what I said that was factually incorrect?

I'll save my opinion for when we get all of the facts. We don't have a clue what happened before that video started, but if it turns out the cop was dumb enough to do something like that without a really good reason, he will go to prison.

The beer scene in the US has changed dramatically over the last 20 years. People still buy the weaker mass produced beers but micro breweries are huge here and putting a big dent in the sales of the large makers. Kids still drink the watered down shit like Coors light (yuk) because it's cheap, but as we age our tastes get more refined. Stronger doesn't always mean better. We used to call Canadian beer moose piss. Some of it had a really bad after taste and left me with really bad hangovers without having to drink much of it.
