With Crytek bringing Crysis 2 to Xbox 360 and PS3 later this year, publisher Electronic Arts is confident it can dethrone Halo in the realm of console shooters. That's quite a statement since Halo: Reach is launching later this year too and will be in direct competition with other shooters like Crysis 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops. Speaking as part of an in-depth IndustryGamers interview, EA Games label president Frank Gibeau stated outright that his group has been planning to build a "Halo killer" for some time. "...we were trying to craft a Halo-killer, you know a product that would squarely go after what Bungie built with our partners at Crytek. So the Crysis 2 product is spectacular, very high-end, and is going to be a multi-year franchise," he said. Responding to a question about whether EA approached Bungie before Activision locked them up for 10 years, Gibeau noted that EA Games is already very well stacked in the shooter department. "...so at some point in the portfolio plan you’ve got, when you look at Crytek, DICE, Epic, the LA team building MoH, and then Respawn, you know we got a pretty damn killer team. There’s not a lot of opening positions left on that roster and so that was definitely something that played into how we’ve looked at opportunities out there. But, we’re going for it and I‘ve gotten to know the Bungie guys over the years and they’re a terrific bunch of people, but we’re very pleased and confident with what we got and the franchises in our portfolio," he said.

LittleTooT X-Ray,I understand what you are saying, not what I was trying to get across. Here in Can it is not such an issue, but, my problem is with mostly with the the pers that show up here with a visitor pass, mostly Sihks and Asian nationals. Once they miss their return date, they apply for immigrant/refugee status. This takes up to 2 years to go through the appeal process, during that time they get $1400-$2500 a month from our gov's social services program, if they happen to have a child during that time, it goes up to $3000 and their status gets upgraded. Where I was going with the post(not to start shit, I go to Fort Bliss twice a year) was that pers who enter ILLEGALY(knowingly), should be given the above option. If someone gets caught in the US undocumented give them a choice, get on the bus back or if they really want to stay, sign em up and do 14 months in Afganistan or Iraq. If they survive, fuck ya let them stay. That would be the best solution.IMO. If I can reply .. I always believe in human rights where ever you live. For me, it must not be a punishment where you first open your eyes. Meaning by that is not your fault where you born, how wealthy you(r parents) are, and what race you have. Goes for all living things. For the nature is 'kill to get food', but as far as in humans, we can or should help as far and strongly we can. But power can be dumb as in political stand of view everywhere.

Arcanage I don't think "standard" powerstruggle (such as Mesa) is in our best interests because it is so common and we don't have the PS playerbase needed for such long games and big maps. If we implement any PS, I suggest stick with custom, or smaller PS maps. Yes, if you open up the (master)server list, and check out the servers, and try to find custom PS maps, they arent or just one or two servers, but big ones. (dang I could use more comma's there!) Maybe smaller PS maps and Hybrid ones might owrk or spawn some by the servermod, if that is ready. We will see what we can do but saturdaynight just after dinner at USA times might be the best schedule to have a meeting with the >XI< guys. This week I am going to pick some foolks randomly to have server sessions and to train some. Dragon is first on my list to show the basics 'howto' and 'notto' things Spread the word for me please to have this meeting noted/notified.

Yes the unlocker for DX9 is still to be downloaded at www.gamecopyworld.com and for the 1.5 patch. But we can not post that anywhere, because Crytek doesnt like that BudSR said a few days ago to run medium maps and smaller maps for TIA and his suggestion was also to run the maps just like 15 or 20minutes and have a bunch of maps like between 12 to 20 maps. I think you and some more would like that too. We can always run the bigger ones by CryRcon or if that can be coded in Patriot of ammount of people and to run smaller or bigger maps checks. That might be hard to code but I have to see if that is posible. Right now B6 of the 7oXiC server (the best PS server!) is now helping out Darklite and himself to have the PS fully support and I have to see how that is going to be as in status reports Thanks for the reply buddy

I suggest we keep this thread alive and kicking. Share in here what you want in this game now >XI< people or visitors. Right now I suggest: DX10 on all server and breakable maps. DX10 is proven to me that it runs more stable and the engine support. Or: 1. DX10 on some. 2. PS Custom in the Europe server mixed with >XI< maps. 3. Hardcore to stay this way or a better improved (Server/client) Mod. 4. Make more contact with people and play more and give feedbacks from that. 5. Meeting within 2 weeks to talk all our ideas through and options by ventrilo. Checking the traffic, we are cool, but back to the basics and tears of fun. Suggestions means, we have some guys to make it done and some maybe to come in. Discussion - Feedback *What ever game >XI< supports for 100%, we are and will be gaming as in different, exceptional*

Well, at least MW2 is now in the Guiness book of records of 300 mil. euro's of selling it. IW doesnt care less what the players would like AFTER the release(s). Even MW3 is now in progress and im curious if they make the same *mistake (* not in their opinion). We all know that Treyard(formal GreyMatter) and other Devs of games at first release it would screw up with crashes, but afterall Treyard is supportive with dedicated servers, for now!
