Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! I've figured it's been a while since I've posted for help on something, (sadely my last post didnt work out ) But with all seriousness I thought the Xtreme Idiots would be deffinetely the place to turn to in this sort of help If you are willing to help of course, I am working on modifying my Dell Case and getting a new GPU and PS. So I know alot of you have experience on these things and I have a few questions if you are willing to look into this more. Current Rig: Operating Syste: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 CPU: Intel Core i5 760 @ 2.80GHz Lynnfield 45nm Technology RAM: 3.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz (9-9-9-24) Motherboard: Dell Inc. 0G3HR7 (CPU 1) Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5450 Hard Drives: 244GB Seagate ST9250315AS (SATA) 488GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKS-75V0A0 (SCSI) Optical Drives: HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GH50N Audio: Logitech G930 Headset Im planning on getting the CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V Aaaaand the EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P3-1469-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Although I'm still deciding, so if anybody has any better ones that they know of! Im thinking of maybe a Evga 550 TI 2 gig instead but I think the 560 would be more worth it. But onto the case modification thing! (Pics below of my rig) I think its a medium ATX case (it deffinetely isnt as small as my schools computers ) and has limited airflow so I got some fans from a friend and got them running, I'm going to be making a vent system for the side so I can put three fans blowing into it and maybe a fan on the inside (Im not sure if thats safe) The two fans on the front are for blowing air out while there is a fan on the back that also blows air out, i'm planning on double fanning that since the internal one isnt very fast. Now, some people may think im insane for doing all of these modifications. Well, a 560 wont operate well in a 1 slow Air-out fan environment. Buuuut, now for the Power supply! I've seen some reviews on Newegg of people putting there PS's ontop of their case, and i'm thinking that may be a good idea because almost all PS's over 600 watts have a fan on the top, and I dont need any more hot air inside of my case. So I can just mount that thing on the top and do some mounting modifications and take out my 350 watt PS and lead my cords through there and put a fan in its place. (I have no idea if this is possible) So really my question is, will this all work? Or am I just that insane to even begin thinking so? lol. THANKS! For the Ipod and Iphone "Scany" is a really nice app for mobile Wi-fi scanning. You can scan for other devices and computers connected, port scan with a LOT of options. and scan custom IP's.

Heres a question for all the Ubuntu users out there! Is there a magical way that I can get Malwarebytes, Avast, or MSE to run on Ubuntu through Wine? I installed wine and everything (Correct version of course since it installs and runs notepad!) but when I install Malwarebytes or Avast it installs correctly but it never runs, most of the time it will just have a box on the bottom left saying "Starting "insert program here") and then it just dissapears and I get nothing. Nothing is showing up on the system monitor afterwards saying that it is running so is there any special way that I have to install or something? I want to be able to malware scan computers with my mobile Ubuntu (Would make life MUCH easier then trying to remove malware through the infected OS) (running 10.10 Ubuntu (was too lazy to download latest)) (its installed on a USB too, im running it right now with chrome typing this ) Thanks

Common change adult change issue ;P Took me a couple months to get my parents use to Chrome instead of molasses slow IE8/9. Just keep using it and you will get use to it man. Humans are not positive to change, but that doesnt always make the change bad. If you really cant get use to it then just get chrome man, I've never been a fan of any other browser since Chrome is open source and has a lot of good plugins, everythings one click and done. And everything complex works like it should. (I made my facebook to ALWAYS use HTTPS on everything) I also have HTTPS encrypted google searches. And twitter. :} The government wont get to ya if you use chrome!

It should be usable on an Ipod, I've been noticing some of the same problems too. Also theres a problem with the uploader through Google Chrome. Had to go back to IE to upload my profile pic. *shutters* So slow IE9 was. I cant believe people still use it .

Alright, well thanks guys. I didn't expect so many replies! But I'm very grateful for them . Its really just come down to the problem of, if I just keep on trying I stress myself out and if I dont try then I get stressed out about missing out on what could be. But I think I'l just play it cool for now and try to accept that whatever happens, happens. If nothing happens, then why worry?

Thanks Dean, but the most that can happen from rejection... is a lot. But its not the thing of dating, its the thing of that. Yes I do want to have a relationship with her but I kind of cant do that if shes trying to avoid me because my mind tries to avoid her. Right? And really... this is what I've tried to explain to many people. Dating in school really isnt anything, its more of a social responsability to be together than actually liking each other. 95% of relationships in my class end with no feelings what so ever. I'm not a person that would just go and date somebody because their popular or look good. So I want to be good friends with her, but it's hard to when I fight against myself. :{

Im 14, everybodies first impression of me is that im 19 but im 14. And theres this girl I love. (Awww, aint that cute?) NO. It isn't. (Not when you feel like tearing yourself apart) And I have a major anxiety problem, Fight or Flight. Now everybody who's tried to snipe me knows im a good fighter ;P. But girls are my weakness. (Shhh! Dont tell the enemy that!) For some reason I feel like running when im next to her. It's a major problem to me. And I have NO idea why I feel that way. I mean, I'm a quiet and sensitive guy. But the problem is that I feel I've kind of fucked up because I let my anxiety get the best of me most of the time. And I'm running out of time, I know her from school. annnd school ends in three weeks and were not in the same grade as each other. So I'm in a LITTLE bit of a situation here, right? I have no idea if she likes me but I feel that she's pissed at me and wont talk to me because things were going good but then my anxiety got the better of me and I got more secluded. (We are a LOT alike, and I would probably feel the same way in the same position, which in a double mind f'ing way I am) Any suggestions?!?! Thanks. The thing here is that if we have a fair fight with unfair fighters were just going to loose more soldiers than is needed. (Its like playing Crysis or Cod) would you rather knife or punch an unarmed guy when he has allies with guns because its just him thats unarmed? If anything, his soldiers with guns were more innocent than him. He killed a lot of innocent people because of his beliefs. So what's worth it more? Sticking to a mental notation that our military should be "honorable" in the face of dishonorable opponents or loosing more physical humans? Matter is over mind. If Osama didnt lead the attack on the attack on 9/11 then yeah, why should we do anything to him? But you know what, his death is very little. Its not going to change anything. The thing here isnt if he was unarmed not. The thing is that who is justified in who's killings? is 9/11 justifiable? is what other countries have done to their country justifiable? A lot of americans will say that 9/11 was bad. But look around, do you see soldiers all around in america "keeping the peace" and military equipment and vehicles around? No. Thats all over there. And yes, Wikipedia can be very accurate. If anything it can be the most accurate because its not just from one person. Its a combination of many sources, like doing a project.

how is this headset? I was thinking about getting a the Soundblaster wireless WoW headset and modifying the 2.4 Ghz USB with a more powerful antenna. But I heard it breaks easily and may cuase interference...

Does anybody know how to Hardcode lua for crysis modifications? I need a mod that creates an ID that can be used as an entity in flowgraphs so that I can have multiplayer style for singleplayer stuff. I am currently working on a multiplayer series called Crysis Swarm. (basicly like Alien swarm but original storyline and level design.) I have tried Crymod forums and mod teams but the ones that have coders seem to not accept PM's. Sadening... But anyways if anybody knows a lua coder I could hit up for this or if they are one and are willing to try this for me then send me a PM on Xfire. (arkamond) is thy name. Thanks.

I am starting to hate win 7 myself. Ever since I got it it doesn't like to run correctly. Now live messenger doesn't work. Debut is cramping out on me again...no clue why. I had to install the suite edition of CCC to get anything to work when I first got the Dell comp. Now my problems with 7 are getting bigger and bigger. Why can't people actually make code that lasts? Win coding is terrible and Linux doesn't support many programs. Microsft can do better but they would rather watch mony burn then try and debug windows. Many people say win 7 is awesome but I DID NOT have this problem with vista. No problems with vista.just 7

Might be that you dont have enough ram to load it. But probably an internal error with the game requiring more ram then needed probably.

As I have heard AMD's Phenom 2 is beat by Intels I5 easily in almost all matters of processing. Right now I think Intel has the biggest card but if you are on a budget for cards I would suggest AMD. Intel really is for the maximum processing that you can get. Intel may be a little expensive but it sure does work if you know how to make it work . Although I have no experience with AMD and Intel cards myself. If I had a job I would buy myself some Intel I7 and overclock it to 4.0. but that is just me. But always remember the ram! If you do things like video and stuff its not just the processor, ram makes a big difference although not always gamer-wise. I have 3 gigs of 1333MHZ core clocked DDR3. I get awesome gaming with it and can work in Cryengine and it only takes up about 1.5 to 2 gigs. Basicly. Power-Intel Affordability at a minimum power-AMD. but you never know I could be totally wrong and got this whole thing backwards and teleported to Canada. But that is for the experts to decide .

Ah, Antivirus 2010. Friend had this once... Fixed it by deleting one of there sisters accounts BUT I think there are other ways. I have a Kaspersky boot disk that might help ISO File: http://rescuedisk.kaspersky-labs.com/rescuedisk/updatable/ Kasperksy Virus removal tool: http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/devbuilds/AVPTool/ http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/utility There are many tools for different trogans and things. (Kaspersky has worked for some things in the past, there are many other tools out there though) Your problem MIGHT be that you have a Rootkit that is making it a pain to remove the trogan. Or the trogan itself could be blocking things. If you can try USB or disk and load up the boot disk. It should take you to a screen where you can scan your comp. scan and if it finds it then fix it. IF it is possible to Repair then click that. Deleting could cause major issues. If you have found the Rootkit and/or trogan and cannot repair then you have a choice of Deleting. (I have no resoponsability if your Hardisk is unusable from removing memory sectors if you have a rootkit) My mom had a TSCC rootkit that would not allow almost anything. Internet, Ctrl panel but allowed commands to be done. I just used the Antivirus on there to remove a couple trogans, system restored, and then used Kasperskies TDS Killer But I can diagnose your problem if you want me to if you can send me a screenie or picture with cam. There are many types of Fake antiviruses and some even generate a name out of random with specific algorithims, so finding the removal software or guide to removing it can be alittle hard without the GUI look. If you have tried what I have said and it will not work I can probably provide more help if you want. If nothing everybody throws at you works then you will need to contact somebody who knows how to do a Reg Edit in boot-mode. (out of my ballpark)

Yes on the inside and outside my comp is too hot. (On the outside its just awesome to look at) But anyways my comp is a brand new DELL. Did I just say... yeah I did. But anyways my core temp on my CPU which is an intel 760 I5 Quad core is overheating at around 65C to 70C whenever I play crysis or work on my video projects. Even with the door off it is still the same temp I have used Core Temp program and Speccy to confirm this. I think that my fan speeds need a major boost since they are so silent... but running. RPM right now at 65C. I would suggest checking on bank accounts and things that are tied to that email too. If they hacked it then they probably took all of that with them. How they probably did it was either one time hack your comp and watched whoever type in the stuff and took it back (Remote keylogging) Outlook express I think stores the emails on your comp too. Probably how they got in. Or they could have hacked there faulty online database. Really you can never get a good un-hackable email unless you make your own server for it and are a Malware and Hacker expert. Another way might be that it was logged into on a different comp that had a keylogger. But if somebody is posting crap about how they hacked it then contact the authorities. Hacking is illegal in the U.S. and many countries. No matter what unless they were given permission to.
