well it stopped inflating the balloon with pinhole a day ago and its been almost 1 month.I just cleaned a container and poured almost all in except for the swill in the last 2 inches/tasted and its very strong but dry.I added more cinnamon and 1/2 cup of splenda fake sugar.stll dry and very potent.put batch in fridge to cool and store.1 cup and im buzzed.hopefully Ill get this down to a science...thanks

Making hard cider at the moment first attempt .Anyone home brewing?? 1 gallon no preservatives apple juice 2 cup's sugar little cinnamon/couple shakes 1 yeast packet 1 balloon/tape take out about 3 cups juice and put to side. put rest in pot and add sugar to warm it and dissolve sugar*do not boil let sit and cool. add back into storage vessel/bottle it came in. add yeast and shake vigorously. stretch out base of balloon so fits over end of bottle. put pinhole in very end of balloon. attach balloon to end of bottle and tape around base to hold in place. let site in 65-70 f degrees for 2-4 wks till balloon stops inflating. after fermentation your ready to re bottle and separate the residue from the yeast from the rest of the liquid.is there an easy way to do this?
