Thanks for the update Rugger! I appreciate the info, especially as re-installing the game was my next option. When I start the game "Downloading Account Information" appears and flashes continuously with a clicking sound. I thought it was my game.

I see that none of the CODWAW servers have anyone on them (at least from looking at the webstats sites), and I can't connect to the online service when I boot the game up. Is anyone else having problems connecting at the moment? The only change I made to my system was updating my boot SSD's firmware last night, but that should have no effect, and I did see people on earlier.

Great news! So glad to hear things went so well. Pups have a special place in our lives, and when their health gets fragile it can be very emotional and stressful. I'll be thinking of you and your friend when I say goodnight to our two perma-puppies.

Thanks folks! I'm now closer to 50 than to 40 LOL! Hoping to get out under clear dark skies this weekend for the Leonid meteor shower, and maybe a round of my new-found pastime: Golf. 10 years ago I tried it and didn't get it. I played 2 rounds this year, had a blast and decent scores, so I'm thinking I might get into it a bit more. New fitted irons, new driver and new hybrid, all with the wife's blessing. Next up: "Get off my lawn, ya damn kids!!!"

Awesome! A change is a s good as a vacation, as they say. I learned years ago to manage the work/life balance. Good on you for landing in a spot that has reasonable work hours and that will let you look after your health and reconnect with family.

CI's hit rapid-fire tonight, and then it crashed mid-game. It's currently off-line. Only one admin on X-fire, and he was AFK. This server is having critical issues, and it looks like it's pooched.
