@billyblade: Thanks for the advice. After the conversation above, I gave my E-cig another try. I am on the phone a lot and thats when I keep smoking. I tried using E-cigs at that time and its working well. I already have cut a few cigs down. Hopefully I phase out the cigs and a better liquid should help...

I am a half a pack a day smoker. I tried using Joytech e-Go C with menthol flavored with 6mg nicotine (I am smoking Camel Menthol Silvers) http://us.joyetech.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=148_63&product_id=100 I couldnt get used to it. Not sure if its the e-cig or the liquid. I am dunce when it comes to all this so any suggestions on how to use this e-cig and any liquid recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks...

I know exactly what you mean. I have my Undergrad in Computer Engineering and Masters in Electrical Engineering so I had to face similar problems until I built up my experience. I can get some internal referrals for you in some companies. Some companies I know are hiring internees for summer. Also whats your interest: ASIC RTL design, ASIC Backend design, Firmware (C++) or Firmware (Assembly).
