So, I finally got some of the last components for my build. Always more I can get but for now I am good. I love to build and shop for components. I have been building my own PCs for about 15 years. I am also a serious deal shopper, I always try to get the most bang for my buck so I tend to watch for sales and reviews on products. Below is what I have been working on over the last few months. So, no media, is it OEM, Retail, MSDN, or hacked copy? You don't have to have the CD, it is the key that matters. You can get the ISO from anywhere, you just need to know what exactly you had and you can always do a repair or upgrade install. You could also do a clean install once you have an ISO. M$ also has a USB Drive create tool that will make a bootable USB drive to do repairs and installs much faster.

I have to agree with Deemer, the current line of i7 Procs are fantastic and you can get a 4790k for about $280 and a decent board for under $150. Microcenter seems to have some great combo discounts as well, buying a board onsale and with the $40 they give you for getting a proc was huge.

I am trying to figure out what board and proc you are exactly looking to use. I can't find the version of the board that supports that proc..... Let me know.

Just curious, why are we looking at adding a new server when the US HC server sits fairly empty from 1PM CST to 1AM CST? Or is the preference to just have a 24x7 classic server? I still would rather have a Locker / Metro server.....

Another spin on all of this would be to make the US Hardcore server a Classic server but run locker / metro when the EU folks are all in bed? So half and half, but it would get used WAY more in the evenings US time. Yeah, I am that guy.

What about locker / metro when you are all asleep?

I think the following would be far more useful: EU Hardcore (configured however the players like) US Locker / Metro 64 man 24x 7 US Softcore 64 man I am with Acucats, I love metro and locker. I always have and always will. If we had one we would be packed. Hell, make it classic mode, idk!

I honestly don't think we are real close to them releasing the 3.0 version of Yogscast / Resonant Rise. I wish they were closer, but I have not seen much on their forums about it lately, they are being rather secretive.
